Hey dont get me wrong man we have some laid back guys but there also a few that make it a goal in life to let you know that theyre in charge and you must give them the ultimate respect. But those are usually Academy grads who are used to sucking dick and now want theirs sucked too.{BMF}*Frank_The_Tank wrote:
Thats one thing that appealed to me about the AF, people are alot more laid back and arent as full of the "Im a rank higher than you salute me" shit. It seems the least stressful and least strict lol.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:
thats the other side of the army you dont see in the movies. but fuck yeah. airforce cats are cool. Ive ran into a few while i was in active duty and all of them pretty much had the same general laid back attitude thats missing from the army. and that shit just got worse it seems the longer we were deployed. that whole garrison mentality gets bigger and bigger. Ive had buddies busted down a rank or two for fraternization with an NCO. E-4 and E-5 go out to a club, they get arrested, 1sg finds out and article 15 here we go. e-4 no longer an e-4 and e-5 is on the top's shit list. nco's arent supposed to associate with joes outside of duty. same with officers and enlisted. but you know what, that shit is WAY more laid back in the reserves. it kinda weirded me out how casual these cats are.arabeater wrote:
That sucks dude. Where I work at I dont even stand up when an officer comes in unless its a Major or above. Hell most of my friends are officers. I just dont get why the Army are so strict with that shit.
that scenario is so badass I cant even comprehend it.arabeater wrote:
Wow thats crazy! I dated my wife when I was an E3 in tech school and she was a 1st Lt. I bet the Army wouldve flipped the fuck out over those apples. Theres just too many hot officers here in the Air Force for them to enforce that kinda rule.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:
hell no. im pretty sure its a recent rule though, so if somebody were married to an officer and they were enlisted before it came to effect, its cool. but if not, then one of em has either gotta get out or kiss the commission good bye.arabeater wrote:

Yea I know I have it made man. Thats why I married her and it also doesnt hurt that shes hot and very good friends with all of the officers in my squadron which kinda gets me outta all of the bullshit work.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:
no shit!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow you got a winner LOL. wtf are you doing still working son? oh man, that is truly fucking awesome right there. but yeah, NCO's and joes aint supposed to hang out but that really depends on how much of a prick your CO or 1sg wants to be. Ive had one CO that encouraged espirit de corps, but ive had a 1SG who gave out multiple Article 15's for fraternization. its usually enforced when there is alcohol and mp's/civilian popo involvedarabeater wrote:
Wait Wait Wait...you cant hang out with NCO's or Senior NCO's if your a junior enlisted such as E1-E4? They got an Article 15 for that? Wow I would have probably 100 by now then. I'm married to a Captain for gods sake man. I'm an E-5 Staff Sergent. I wonder how the Army would like that shit?GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

What so badass about it? I couldnt comprehend not being able to partake in the thrashing of some hot ass female officers either.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

HAHA. Ive heard stories about female LT's in the army...nevermind, no need to advertise that kinda stuff here. but seriously wow. that must be real nice on a long deploymentarabeater wrote:

Yea when I was at Fort Gordon in tech school I hooked up with some Army LT's. They knew I was enlisted but they told me that since I was in the Air Force that it was probably ok to hook up with me. Of course i didnt argue with em. Yea its nice to be married to an officer but we are stationed at different bases at the moment which sucks ass.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

there was a platoon leader, a 1LT in my company during my iraq deployment whose wife was stationed at the same FOB as we were. needless to say, he didnt spend too much time in the company area between patrols
Im tapping out bro. I had a lot of homework to do right now that Ive decided to put off till early in the morning. oh well, the cycle continues. DO SOME PUSH UPS FRANK!

Yea ive heard of that happening. Thats why the Air Force has a rule that you cant be deplyed to the same base as your spouse. We had a guy that was deployed to Baghdad back when the war started and his wife was also at Baghdad. I remember one night when we were getting mortared he ran outta the tent with 2 M-16's yelling for his wife. Shit like that couldve killed somebody. But yea last year when I was in Kirkuk we had a well known "desert queen". Im sure all military types have heard that term before. She was a butter bar and very hot. Everybody knew it and she never got in trouble for it either.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

no shit. my company had an FSB attached to us and this cute little blond thing was a part of it. she had the reputation of being a goody goody prude christian girl but towards the end of the deployment it turns out shes was giving it up to all the oregon national guard guys that were attached to us as well. she just outsourced her coochy. pictures started circulating into peoples laptops two weeks before we headed back. dont know if anyone got in trouble but she ended up getting moved to another forward support battalion because of that.arabeater wrote:

Sweet. Yea I never had the pleasure of sampling her but the word had gotten around. I think she was guard too and a blonde. Hmmmmm.....maybe the same chick? Probably not, but yea her coochy definately was being plunged by everybody including other officers. Usually all of the desert queens that ive seen were ugly and knew that they could get some from all the desperate and horny guys there. A friend of mine was in Afgahnistan back in 2004 and met this hot ass reporter. He had pics of her in her panties and bra. He told me hooked up with her too. She was hot as fuck. But yea if I was deployed to the same base as my wife I know I would be hitting that shit every chance I got too though.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

Yeah, some Academy grads are idiots. I think that part of the problem is that we are constantly told that we are "the best"...well, unless you are a freshman! That, combined with the whole prestige thing the academy has going, can swell some egos too much. Unfortunately, that is one stereotype academy grads have developed. I think the academy is getting better about correcting this kind of thing, but there will always be a few bad apples.arabeater wrote:
Ewww.......Academy pukes! We have some Academy guys in my squadron and they are such dicks. Everybody hates them because they think theyre all high and mighty and shit. Im not saying theyre all that way but all the nes ive met thought they were better than everybody else.
Fresh O-1s had better respect their NCOs. Some guys seem to forget that the TSgt. with 15 years of experience knows a lot more about the job than the new 2Lt. That kind of idiocy from O-1s pisses people off (including a lot of cadets).
(I think it is a little ironic that the Cadet Wing Commander (highest ranking senior) still calls an E-1 "sir." )

Yea I have yet to meet a good Academy officer. We had one guy that had only been at my squadron for like 2 days and he was telling me how to build a pallet for a deployment. I'm pretty sure this guy has no idea how to do my job and has never even built a pallet before. I just laughed at him and gave told him to go do some officer work aka sit on your ass and look busy.RAIMIUS wrote:

How do feel about Officer-Enlisted relations? example: an officer married or dating enlisted.RAIMIUS wrote:

FYI I am married to an AF Captain.
At the academy, we are told to avoid officer-enlisted relations like the plague. They can take it to extremes sometimes. Upperclassmen are not supposed to be "too friendly" with freshmen. Some of the sophomores have gotten in trouble for hanging out with freshmen and trying to treat them nicely. (a stupid overreaction IMO)
There are some serious differences between the academy atmosphere and the real AF.

Yea we were told the same thing but ince I got outta basic the rules seem to have gone out the window. Hell when I met my wife I was an E3 and she was a 1st Lt. We just kept it on the down low until we got married. They just told us that we couldnt be at the same unit or wing. Thats kinda crazy though about them not liking you hanging out with fellow cadets though, but it doesnt surprise me because it is the Academy.RAIMIUS wrote:
