We've got a couple of friends in the game, and we make sure we don't do anything to each other. Just yesterday on Daqing Oilfields, Me and my friends got our squad split up by auto balance. Somehow or other the 6 of us ended up in all 4 planes, me in the Su-30 with a friend, 1 in the j-10, one in the f-15 and one in the f-18.

Since we're all mates i'm reluctant to dogfight them etc so we just took out every single thing on the ground (on either sides). Some asshat then decided we all were 'padding' and soon we all got booted from the server.

*Shrug* i don't mind a good dogfight with friends, but if we got split up even though we were all running in a locked squad, I don't see how all of us being in planes (albeit opposite teams) would be unacceptable.

I don't shoot friends that I know (and are @ my place, sitting beside me in a LAN party). It earns me a smack over the head. Lol.

The admin did the right thing by booting you and your friends. And whether or not you agree, you guys were statpadding. No one on the ground could stop you so why blame em? Now hopefully events like this will turn out differently after the patch. I know I would be pissed if the jet fighters in my team weren't doing thier job. I would spam missles from a mobile AA until SOMEONE died.

If that is statpadding, what is it when someone like + Plus.Smiley gets into a bomber? That is unfair..... Unless i manage to snag his side seat....

It's just one guy, a completely different situation. I was referring to the original post where all 4 jets were being used by a group of friends that wouldn't engage each other. You're screwing your team by letting the enemy kill with no danger to them. Now granted, BOTH teams were noob because there's like 4 mobile AAs and several stinger/IGLA emplacements to fight back from the ground. And like I said, as soon as I hoped into a mobile AA, I would spam missles to ensure SOMEONE dies, don't care who.

I'd say its unfair, you can rape the ground without any resistance from the air. It would certinaley ruin the game if i was on the ground being bombed to hell and saw my nearbye air support was doing nothing to help.

Well, I would say whatever. You can do what you like and attack ground all you like, I would just get in the AA and blast you or someone out of the air. I need the ribbon so it would be a good thing for me.

Dont get me started on plus smiley. Cant remember all of the times that I have been playing on Karkand and he has hopped around the corner, and seen me 1 foot from his face and fired a grenade launcher at me. But of a sad case really

I feel your pain. I wonder what he'll do when he can't bunny hop. He *is* a good shot tho, I'll give him that.

But as far as this topic and the original poster goes ... I reckon the admin did the right thing, provided he/she at least gave you padders a warning first - I mean, I accept that your motives didn't lie strictly with padding your stats.

And I totally agree with l'ilmikey and zantar69; when I'm playing online with friends, it's MORE fun to target them, particularly in a LAN session, because then you can hump their monitor shouting BOOOM!! HEADSHOT!!!

I mean ... if you, er, went that way.

I disagree. If you take the time to go all the way out and grab a boogie jet, you deserve it. The fact that noone had gotten the jets before kinda leaves you wondering the skill of the people fighting. I've taken out jets with cars, tanks, AA, helos, AT's.... it's not like they couldn't have done anything about it.

Perfect situation for AA emplacements. . . since they only kill friendlies, you could easly get a decent pilot in the air to kill the freaking padders.

But yes what you are doing is unfair, the only way you can be stoped is if some one TK's your friend with AA, then some one elese quickly grabs a jet, manages to kill 2 enemies, and 1 frinedly jet with no backup in the air. Good admin to notice you and your friends and kick you. Which server was this? I like well moderated servers.

Yeahhh when we're @ LAN parties we dogfight ourselves, but we just called each other up and played online together. Mannn was everyone pissed off

Most of the time though we were doing stupid stuff like pulling stuns etc. Flying on top of each other. Trying to squeeze all 4 planes together to make a horizontal rearming run. chasing each other's tails. That looked completely retarded. 4 planes flying around in circles after one another.

Hell but isn't this as bad as like.. Stealing the Su-34 and MiG and landing it on your carrier? =P A mate and I did this the last time. Mannn were the MEC pissed
