I made this poll because my friends dad (30+ years old) is pathetic at bf2 and he has been playing since battlefeild 1942.  So i was wondering if the older you get, the worse you get?

So you friends Dad sucks. By sucks do you mean that he doesn't bunny hop, dolphin dive, lob C4,  noobtube or camp/tk for jets.

I can garantee you that the day you are being owned by a nearly unstoppable squad of flag cappers, half of em will have been born before man landed on the moon...

I'm 36 and much prefer to play with older players because teamwork is used so much more. I have been playing games since I was 6 and it was pong.
My father who is 64 loves to play computer games but he never really developed the eye/hand skills and kept them up but he loves it. He went through half life2 4 times and halo a bunch.

At lot of times experience wins out against the 12 year old bunny hopping newb. I good team in this game always wins.

I'm 37, and I agree with randabeast.  I'll take good team work over beeing some super soldier anytime.  I look for the team to win, and what I get as a score is second.  I rather be on the positive side of the win/loss ratio.

Nope I don’t think so. I am 40+ and not the best but not the worst either and I keep improving my stats all the time!

Guess I’m one of the few that played BlueMax 1979 (VIC-20). It’s pretty much like skiing or riding a bike once U learned, it’s simply there!!

Don’t now how many young players that’s been behind me during my 198 Golds and all the Silver medals?

By the way U need to work on both U SPM and K Ratio and U are 100k behind me young man, he, he………….

You can be any age, just so long you have good hand eye coordination and maintain those abilities.  But then again you also need to be somewhat strategic with your movements so you can pretty much knock out the 0-9 age group and probably most of the 10-14. Even some of the 15-20 group. (I'm 19 btw)

As for the bunny hopping:
Aim high soldiers, aim high.  You won't get anywhere just bitching about it, actually squashing the bastards that do it sends a stronger message.

This topic is virtually a clone of "If ur 19+ and still play video games u need to get a life" thread.

Little kids have no concept of team work and respect as said. And I agree.

for me, it comes down to what you mean by better.  Who can get the most kills?  Does that make you better?  Or is it squad play and your teamwork score?  Is 1 guy with 30 kills and no teamwork score or flag caps better than a 6 man squad with 30 kills total between them but each has a tw score over 30 every round from flag capping and such?
Seems to me, perhaps the younger players will have more kills etc, but the more "mature" players will do better at teamwork...just my take on it....I am 41 and my k/d ratio sucks but I rarely have less than 25 tw points in a round

erm, i play as a team heaps, make or join a squad, and follow orders, thats bout it

Its not age, its just level of maturity and whether u want to work as a team or not

Well that wan guy who kill 30 kills without teamwork still take 30 tickets away from enemy team which is MUCH from 1 person. You also need to kill some one, it's important that there's some one capturing flags, they don't get good or maybe even positive K/D ratio but they are doing mostly good and important jop. But don't blame those guys who get that 30 kills (of course if they also die 30 it doesn't help team at all) because without thouse team normaly can't win either. So if there's good balance between those "flag capturers" and "killing machines" there's shouldn't be problem to win round. But yes you talked about teamwork... With teamworki you get your best score even you are that "killing machine" person, because if there's always some one to spawn, some one resupling or/and some one reviving it works and together it's easy to capture also flag if needed. And what comes about to topic and question of it (finaly) I'm 19 yo and I have much time to play but as some one said it really don't matter how old or young you are if you have skills, but it's just so true that there's maybe most of those 30+ yo players in Battlefield 2. And when you take a look to those top clans, you see that there's avarage ages mostly over 20, 25 or even 30 years. So that tell more than enougt... The best players in Battlefield 2 is those older players (sure some youngs can be too, but that's rarer, and mostly their mental age is biger than their physical age)

I am 37 years old, and still remember spending my allowance on the Astroids machine at my local 7-11.  I spent 6 years in the Army with the 3rd Battallion\1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) as an 18 Bravo (light weapons specialist).  I am now working for the state that I reside in.

I mostly play in the evenings because you little ones agruvate me.  You don't team up, you hop around like the easter bunny, you camp.  Mostly play with no purpose.  I haven't been playing this game for all that long, and don't have the time to devote to it as I have kids.  When I do get the chance to play (usually a couple of times a week) I have a really hard time finding a server that isn't full of the little kiddies that TK just because.

I wish that there were a server that kicked the kiddies so that us old guys could have a good time.

You kids should team up with us old guys instead of Tking so that you could learn about something other than your "Spray and Pray" approach to playing a game.  This is not Half Life.  You can not win the match if you are on your own the entire time.  This game supports teamwork for a reason.  There are very few of you that couldn't learn about the ethics of playing.  There is a certain way to play. the way that benefits the entire team.  Your way may be more fun for you, but it causes the rest of us to try to find a server that none of you are on.

not saying the guy who gets 30 kills isn't making a significant contribution, just trying to define "best" player.  Killing machines do their part, flag cappers do theirs

13-25 is the range of good players, they just have more time and dedicate most of it to videogames.  I agree, 11 year olds and under have no meaning of teamwork or respect, which is why they boss people around all the time on VOIP.  I'm 13 and i'm the just below average player, you might think my age group is uncoordinated but that's for the people that don't use computers much.  I might be better if I wasn't working with minimal processor speed: 1.6 GHz Pentium 4.  I just need a faster processor and then I could kick some serious ass.

Amen, bro. There's a reason why I take that PKM for some fun in the city maps.
