There is currently a very hot debate on the use of gun control. This is a somewhat similiar topic. I wanted to know what people thought about the rising use of SWAT teams. From what I have been reading lately there seems to be an ever increase in the use of paramilitary units throughout our police units in the US.
1. Do you feel there is a rise in the use of SWAT usage in the US?
2.Does the use of SWAT seem best utilized in simple search and seizure cases where a firearm may be registered to the owner of the address?
3. What are your thoughts of the usage of informants that can be misleading to the point that innocent people are often killed.
Basically all those three topics boil down to your opinions of whether or not the out right use of absolute force in numbers and arms is necessary in all cases.
