Is Warlord the new Karkand?

I'll be damned, every time I went onto SF easily 1 in 3 servers were playing Warlord! I had a blast on it, I earned all my veteren specialist badges last night on it (except engineer!).

It's close combat, infantry, tanks if vehicles allowed, zip lines, flashbangs - it's better than karkand!

Karkand > Warlord , for me at least . Not because of points , I already fucked on them , just because I love the map's atmosphere , gameplay & so on .

i like it when being the insurgents defending the palace...its so....like intense and real, firing RPG's out of the windows, random gunfire, booby trapped doorways and such

if there where more EU servers and players on Special forces iam sure Warlord would end up my fav map as the tanks/apcs cant wreck as much havoc as on karkand spawn camping wise

Allot of the 32 man servers are based in the uk

warlord>wake>all other maps. alos,I've discovered a neat trick on warlord. get reasonably far away fromthe palace whith the whole enemy team on the top balconies blasting the sh*t out of everyone. fire 2 teargas shells, one at each balcony. if you get it right, the tear gas will filly not just the balcony, but the whole front wing of the palace. ( i was messing about on an empty server, firing tear ags shells, and managed to fill the left wing with tear ags I was in the right wing). the tear gas grenade wasn't even inside!). then while theyarestumbling, your team can easiyl shoot the sh*t out of them and storm the palace(or stormthe palace w/gas amsks on and knife thelot of them. thne you have a foothold in the palace, and if you can defend the remaining flags, then youcan EASILY cap the second floor, then it's all hands to the third floor for a tear gas/kife fest. then it's game oevr for them once you've capped it, as you can easily wipe themout with tear gas/MG fire. 1/3 of the teamfirng tear gas, 1/3 actng as resupply, 1/3 with Mgs. soon wipe them out.

Ghost Town>Warlord>Karkand

Ghost Town is the best SF map while Warlord comes in a close second. Karkand has just become terrible, I hate playing it. I can't believe I got a lot of hours for it early on so it's still as my favorite map.

Oh, the cheapness of putting claymores in the palace when the FF is off. SO ENJOYABLE!!!

I like Ghost Town better, that orange ick from Karkand was carried over to Warlord, and I hate it. Warlord is most definitely #2, above all BF2 vanilla.

Or the idiots that put the claymores on the stairs in the TV Tower right when the round begins and FF is off. Love those idiots.

Haha, That's how I got my Expert Explosives Ordinance badge. IO on Warlord is a joke once one team has a point in the palace.

I'd put Jalalabad as the 'newer' Karkand. IO on that = fiercest grenade spamming ever. Taking junkyard on more than 1 occasion has been like getting caught in a hailstorm of frag.

It's not so much the whole map, just the Palace. If DICE never put the Palace in Warlord, the map would be much better.

man Warlords a good map if they put ziplines & grafling hook in karkand then it might be a different story
will there ever be a karkand with those kinds of things it would be good if the hotel flag was in the hotel
like the palace in warlord
