Road kills in Ground Defense

Please someone tell me how you get ROAD KILLS while u r in GROUND DEFENSE ???

I have 21 of these. How did they get there?

If you hit a tank with a Tow and it blows up killing the driver after he got out, that would be considered a road kill due to ground defense. Same thing if you shoot a humvee with mounted machine gun and it explodes and kills a guy next to it, another road kill for ground defense.
