Yo, I was just wondering what "views" you use as jet pilot.
Most seem to click to "cockpit" view right away, but then what?
Chase Front, to check your bombs/your six?
Chase Rear, and you also like to refer to yourself in the third person?
Fly By, because you are so beautiful?
Or maybe you don't change views at all in a jet, you just fly straight ahead yelling "OMG OMG OMG"?

I switch between the clear front view, and the rear view w/ plane visble.

I fly using a Dual Shock style controller, with the analog stick buttons to switch between the two. My stats show nothing impressive yet, I've only just started flying, but it seems to do me fine.

Mainly inside forward view, so I can see the attitude indicator, VSI, altimeter, and the gunner TV box. But I switch between views.

I mainly stick to cockpit and chase front.  I've changed a few of the buttons on my keyboard for swapping back and forth quickly (I fly by keyboard only, don't know how people do it with the mouse).  Mainly use chase front to make sure I don't have another jet on my six, and occasionally to see where my bombs are landing.

cockpit with no hud + chase front & flyby.
only started using flyby after watching the dogfighter video few weeks ago,could'nt do without it now cause its perfect for keeping on the ass of a manouvering jet no matter what you or he's flying.

I fly in cockpit (no obstructions) when I do bombing runs I ussualy check behind me with chase front to check where the bombs landed and if there any other soft targets in the area that could use some machinegunning. If im trying to evade someone its chasefront and flyby to see if any missiles are coming and how is he following me.

I keep mine at the bombing setting always. Then if I see an enemy jet, well.. he's gonna die nonetheless. Thanks to that dogfighting guide ;D

I tried changing views and stuff, but it makes me crash too often from reversed controls, so I just leave it now. I do ok.

i use a dual shock for jets as well,find it shitloads better for me than keyboard/mouse/joystick.
i have a saitek x52 sitting gathering dust,never use it,preffer using my joypad for jets,use a thurstmaster dual shock 3 controller.
jets = joypad
heli = keys/mouse

That's pretty much me as well, and it's the reason I started the topic & poll.  I played cockpit + chase front for a long time, then changed to cockpit + fly by in the summer, after watching Dogfighter.  It's not easy, but I think the extra effort has been worth it.
