We need some bonus for being on the winning side to encourage teamwork. Many people forget about winning and just play to score points. Adding a penalty for death will just make everyone play as a sniper. Point scoring over teamwork includes:


- Charging a well defended position to get kills before you die instead of waiting for reinforcements.

- Lots of medics running to the same wounded person racing to get the 2 points, completely exposing themselves to fire.

- Support and Medic classes playing just to use the good unlocks and never helping their teammates to the point of someone next to them calls for ammo/health and they ignore.

- Squad members just using theri squad leader to avoid walking.

- Squad leader using planes and attack choppers.

- Total lack of engineers.

- Lack of anti-tanks when tanks are in the area, e.g on Karkand. People will keep respawning as a medic just to get points off other dead people.

- etc.




Anyway, I think that having some sort of point bonus for winning would make people actually work as a team rather than induvidual point scorers. So post you're ideas.

I disagree!

People will abandon teams to protect losses + more teams will figure out what where and when to get stacked winning teams to get extra-stats/points.

Team-need is a problem, what does a team really need (?), sometimes it's defensive positions, which leads to -
BIG-BUTS (LOL)

The problem is you might get NO POINTS for doing something that is in the TEAMS best interests.

Defending a base is awarded nothing - if you wait at a main base (or other) and no one makes it to you - you get zero action - zero fun - and zero points/kills. You have to abandon it - and leave the commander there by himself (or flag) - else you will receive the big ZERO! Most of the time. This is a problem with the game logic.

This is a type of team-play also receives less points, armored patrolling: because I will see less action (opposing team troops) patrolling back (or important) bases - but I have to - my team is having problems plugging defensive-leaks in important map positions - what I am supposed to do? Let them overrun an abandoned yet vital base? Let them rout us when they take that base and the important vehicles that go with it?

I am not sure what the solution is?
