Yep, you're right. Camry is made mostly in tennessee i believe, while some "american" cars are made foreign. this was especially poignant during the big, dumb, ignorant "buy american!" theme during the 90's. lol we're such lemmings.
Oh and on topic, I agree with Lowing (a first) that spanish language commercials should not be on the air. I'm even pissed that I have to sift through 3 or 4 spanish language channels on TV, though that is fair. I'm sick of the LAZY assed mexicans (and other spanish speaking immigrants) who do NOT assimilate or even try. I say this having been a guest in a foreign country (Brasil) temporarily, but still learning (and mastering) their language and assimilating to their culture, diet, and other national attributes. It's RUDE to come and rape another country and not even TRY to give back. There is a burger king in my neighborhood and it has a spanish language ad by the drive through. And I'll tell you why it's insulting:
1) The predominant language of this country, and that area is ENGLISH.
2) It is insulting of them (not necessarily to the spanish speaking immigrant) to post such an ad which suggests that the spanish speaking people don't understand simple english speaking ads.
3) It undermines the efforts of the diligent immigrants actually trying to assimiliate and contribute to society.
There's other reasons, but these popped up first.
Another point to make is that if I'm Tongan (or of a small and mostly unkown nation and language), and I open up a hot dog stand in Moscow, Russia and I speak in Tongan and label my menu in tongan....would that be offensive? What if it was Chinese? How about French? So then, should it be considered polite or constructive to post spanish language ads in a country that speaks that has a primary language..a language most of the world tries to learn?
