ok, so this is what i found

open your bf2 directory (the one in my docs)
open profiles--->0001(or the number that corresponds to your profile. its its the 3rd one, 0003)
open the file "general.con"
go to the end of the document. about 10-15 up, you will see an option, "GeneralSettings.setViewIntroMovie 1"
change the one to a zero.

thats it, easy way to stop the intro videos without deleting or moving them.

Actually, this is a new way of doing this as far as I know.

The old way has you backup the videos in a different folder, then create new text documents with the same title, but with no data in them.  The game then just skips these files since they hold no data, effectively allowing you to skip the intro movies.

This way of skipping the movies is news to me.

Does adding "+restart" to the icon command line no longer work for this game?

How in anyway is this a Flame?

An example of a flame would be "Well we already had them Disabled Fuckhead"

You could change all the 1's in the init.con file in the bf2 mod folder to a 0 (so you can skip them). But i think this gets you kicked for modified content. Someone should check it.

I didn't know about this option, thanks for the info.  I never moved the movies, I simply renamed the extensions from .bak to .ba_ and that stops them from playing.

You could also just rename the video files so the game doesn't read it.  TMo your method is doing WAY more work then you need to...

adding "+restart" to the end of the command line works as well....

No, the easy way is to add +restart 1 to the end of your  shortcut target.

This has been discussed many a time. Closed.
