Dubai's a great place. Islamic tolerance at its finest. With cooperation, the citizens manage to create a utopia of sorts from a desert. Only place in the world with a seven-star hotel.
Most of my pictures are only of the newer areas. I bought a cheap disposible camera there from one of the shops near the Gold Souk and they didn't turn out too well. I may have pictures of the palm island. From my hotel room you could see one of them under construction.
Yeah Dubai is definatley the best place in the Middle East. It's actually one of the best places in the world imo. It doesn't really feel that "Islamicy" it feels sort of international.

Very beautiful place. The Burj al Arab is by far the nicest hotel in existence. But, sadly, since it's in the middle east, I'll never go. Airfare would be too expensive, and it costs like $2000 a night to stay in the lowest priced room (that figure may be a bit off).
I'm more than certain they can turn that country into the destination spot of the world, with the palm islands and the islands their creating out in the sea.

But, anyways, they need to turn Dubai into one enormus supercity. Those are some of the most beautiful skyscrapers anywhere. I'd try and go there if it was just a big metropolis of skyscrapers. Like New York, but cleaner.
