BF2142 Not installing...

Hi ladies, gents

Ok my problem I have 2 drives (lite-on DVD RW and samsung DVD ROM) I have installed BF1942, Vietnam, BF2 etc with these drives and they worked great now...

I cant install the game of either drive. THe DVD RW does not pick up the CD at all - well it thinks its a blank disc.. and the DVD ROM reads the CD and when I try to install about 20 secs in I get an error sayign cat install try again or something similar to that. I know the reason my DVD RW is not picking the disc up cuz it thinks i have some sorta burning software, which i have removed (its their fcking copy protection bullshit)

I have done the following:-

-Updated Firmware of opt drives
-Removed any ripping/Virtual drive software

I have got round the installing bit - I used my bros PC, shared his drive and installed it of his PC, but now I cant play the freakin thing cuz it cant pick up the CD in my pc..... arghhhhhh any idea gents?

copy the dvd on ur hardisk install it from the hdd and try to run the game with the dvd in the rom who can read the disk

Ok I have installed the game via my brothers PC over the network (without using my drives) but I cant run it, as neither of drives are wanting the CD.. Its stragne cuz my DVD ROM does read the disk.... but not when i double click the EXE or even open from file view.... :s

u can try a no cd "patch"
in this situation u have nothing to loose
but until the next patch comes out u need to wait for a new no cd "patch"

there is a no cd patch available - I have it too.. but punkbuster does not like it

well.. in ur situation i will buy a cheap usb dvd rom .. i dont guess its because the copy protection.. if its, theres a error message like "insert correct dvd"
