Alright, so I go to open the game yesterday (keep in mine 5 hours earlier it worked perfectly), and I am told that I'm missing "mods/bf2/shaders/staticmesh.fx". I've received this error before, and from what I remember the only way to fix it was to reinstall BF2.

So I did just that, and it fixed THAT problem. Now, the issue is that when I open the game, it pretends like it's going to work (you know, the initial black screen which leads you to believe the game has started) but then it crashes back to desktop with no picture or error whatsoever.

With no error I have no idea what to fix.

Help SysTray fix his BF2.

Run BF2 in windows mode, when it will crash in windows mode it will give you error message, take a screen shot and post it here, we will see what we can do

That would be what gave me the staticmesh.fx error the first time.

How might I go about doing that?

Hmm... I believe the command is something like "bf2.exe -w" I never use it, but it's definately a switch you just add to the exe.
