i got 2600 globel points but i am still not a sergent. why?

Start Battlefield 2 -> Log in -> Join Server -> Kill someone -> Get promoted

As said, just get 1 point and you'll get your promotion.
also it can take up to 24hrs for your stats to update on the weekends due to stats server overload. as soon as your stats update then your eligable for promotion.
