Some info about the revulution:

The Hungarian Revolution of 1956 was a spontaneous nationwide revolt against the authoritarian communist government of Hungary and its Soviet-imposed policies, lasting from October 23 until November 10 of 1956. It began as a student demonstration which attracted thousands as it marched through central Budapest to the Parliament building. A student delegation entering the Radio Building attempting to broadcast their demands was detained. When the delegation's release was demanded by the demonstrators outside, they were fired upon by the State Security Police (ÁVH) from within the building. The news spread quickly and disorder and violence erupted throughout the capital.

The revolt spread quickly across Hungary, and the government fell. Thousands organized into militias, battling the State Security Police (ÁVH) and Soviet troops. Pro-Soviet communists and ÁVH members were often executed or imprisoned, as former prisoners were released and armed. Impromptu councils wrested municipal control from the communist party, and demanded political changes. The new government formally disbanded the ÁVH, declared its intention to withdraw from the Warsaw Pact and pledged to re-establish free elections. By the end of October, fighting had almost stopped and a sense of normalcy began to return.

Although it had previously announced a willingness to negotiate the complete withdrawal of troops, the Politburo reversed itself and now moved to quash the revolution. On November 4, a large Soviet force invaded Budapest using artillery and air strikes, killing thousands of civilians. Organized resistance ceased by 10 November 1956, and mass arrests began. An estimated 200,000 Hungarians fled as refugees. By January 1957 the new Soviet-installed government had suppressed all public opposition. Soviet actions alienated many Western Marxists, yet strengthened Soviet control over Eastern Europe, cultivating the perception that communism was both irreversible and monolithic.

Public discussion about this revolution was suppressed in Hungary for over 30 years, but since the thaw of the 1980s it has been a subject of intense study and debate.

And now in 2006 on the 23th of October its 50 years now ! And the worst problem is that todays goverment is the same soviet communist goverment who were leading our country 50 years ago.And they made the terror and punishment after the 1956 revolution fell. They killed and punished thousends from the hungarians who were fighting for freedom.Over 200.000 hungarians were escaping to Austria and from there to the west.Mostly big parts are living today in the USA and Australia !

If you have any questions about this PM me or post here and i will reply.

Because its a black day in our history. And our goverment should NOT celebrate it because they were sitting in the parlament when the whole nation was fighting against them. They changed the name from their partie from Mszmp to Mszp and now there are a lot of politics who were members from the old one and now they tell us the same shit, the same lie what they did for 40 years.Thats why...
