Ok, so i was playing Karkand just a minute ago trying to get my expert explocives badge. I heard that it is easiest to get with claymors so i layed one down in a small dorway. (the one you have to blow up with nades to get through). But an american walked right over my claymor and didn't die. What are the the best places to put claymors? If you can help i would sure appreciate it!!!!!!! I am killing myself trying to get the badge.
Ummm play 2142, BF2 is just screwed up beyond repair.
They have to be set for a couple seconds before the enemy steps into proximity of it's firing radius. Which ever way you are facing, is the front of the trigger area. Try laying down and pointing them at the openning in the doorway.

Or better yet, as mec, run around on suicide missions to that bit where the americans nade from, I got 12 in one go hopin like a bunny rabbit and no death! Lmao was probably the funniest round I have ever had, over 40 kills and not one with the sniper rifle!
u place them towards the enemy and they become active after about 3/5 seconds. place them in small doorways and around corners, this is called route-denial and very sneaky too. when playing as sniper, try get in a squad with a machine gunner. he can help you replen all the time thus enabling you to place more clays around. hope this helps matey!sniper14M wrote:

lol. this is how i got expert sniper. i've moved to my next kit now. MEDIC> then after that its assault. the kits are there in the game to be used so who are we to have a go at someone for usin g the kit in the game tey bought? oh well this is my view anyways.slicknic wrote:

Set them in alley ways and around flags. That will show those karkabutt whores.
Btw: the best way to get Expert Blow Stuff Up Badge is by Jihad and maybe come claymores mixed in.

Do claymors explode in only one direction? will they only kill enemies in the direction you were facing when you laid it down? I could really use some help.
Whatever way your faceing when u place it is the way it blows up. Make sure your faceing the doorway (or whatever) before u place the claymore.sniper14M wrote:

stick them someway up between the cheeks in your 
Just keep plugging away. Laying a couple of mines early on helps as well as they are also set and forget and you get 5 of those, not just 2. What Daddyof Death says is right as well. If you are sniper, keep an eye out for any ammo packs and just lay away. Be prepared for the odd kick as tards on your own team run into them and punish though.

Thanks, i just got 25 claymore kills in Karkand. You have helped alot, but i have one more question. how long will a claymore stay planted. I think it is 3 deaths but my friend sayes ten. Anyone?
