Wow, max settings!

After playing the demo yesterday, I thought it was worth purchasing, so this morning I went out and picked it up. Im a Bf2 veteran, i've owned Bf2 since the day of its release, and since that day I could never run max settings. I always played at All Medium 4x AA 1024x768. Now it was the same in the 2142 demo.

I install full game and just for the heck of it I set everything max w/ 4x AA 1024x768.
To my surprise im averaging 61FPS, and about 55 in the heaviest of combat.

I have no idea what they changed, but what ever it is, thank god for it. The game looks beautiful maxed out. Textures are so crisp and clear. Effects are awesome and the shadows look great.

My specs- x800xl, 1GB ddr400, AMD 64 3000+.

Playing games to there fullest potential really adds alot of fun factor to it. Now I just need a new monitor!

Ya i agree, i have everything maxed out too, although i did in BF2 as well, but is just seems that 2142 runs much smoother at max setting

well i was talking about the full game...the demo ran like shit too, but the full games runs great on my system

Demo and retail ran completely smooth for me. My specs - 7800GT pci-x, 1GB ddr400, AMD 64x2 3800, Audigy 4 soundcard. If you can run on max, I'm going to try. I just set it to my BF2 settings for comparison. I think my system might handle 1280x1024 on medium. We'll see.

I've been playing Bf2 on low since i got it. I get really jealous wen i see people playing on high setting with the light and all. Hopefully for Xmas I'll be getting a new PC or a huge upgrading of my current PC so i'll be able to play Bf2 and maybe 2142 (if i ever buy it).

I already ran BF2 on max, dont see a big diffrence.

AA seems a bit better but thats about it.

Edit: Actually only 2x AA, no idea why.

Edit2: If you want a few decent .png images I'll up a few, but they take a bit longer to upload so i won't do them now

I have a decent PC but my graphics card is really a big bottleneck for me. I have to use the low settings, which actually worked better with my crappy monitor since the entire game was way too dark with shadows on anyway.

First time when I launched up BF2 I could use everything on high without a problem and still loads maps within a minute. Now in BF2 I will have to wait a long time to load a map and I use everything on Medium to. >.>

In BF2142 I some on high and most on medium and it loads maps hella of lot faster than BF2 did. Great imo.
