Yes. Or you could pick any name. The EA account name is what's registered to get you the upgrade status.

Another strike against this retarded game. Why would they ever limit someone to a single account? It's nice to have an anonymous profile to screw around on.

Reminder:
You had to provide the following when registering at the BF2 Vet Program, witch is closed now, btw.
1,1. EA Account name
1,2. Password
2,1. BF2 Player Name/Account
2,2. BF2 Password
3. BF2142 Nick (exactly the same as BF2 Player Name)

Let me tell you a little secret, it doesn't matter what name I'm using, new or old, I get veteran status on everything.
I never saw the 2 on an enemy, only on teammates.
Could be that I wasnt paying attention but Im 100% sure it doenst make you stand out too your enemies.

Im not talking about Add's they included in the maps, Im talking about the actual spyware that monitors your internet browser that they included into the game. again...FOR FREE!

Same here. I know it wants your EA name/ pass to log in because it wouldn't take my BF2 name and pass. Then, once I logged in using my EA name/pass, I tried to "create new soldier" and entered my reserved BF2 name. It came up and said it's already in use. Uhh...yeah, by me...wtf? Also, after you login with your EA games login/pass, it wants you to enter a clan tag and looks like your old BF2 name should show up in the box below that. Problem is, my old BF2 name doesn't show up, even though I registered for the veteran program long ago. FTW?Poseidon wrote:
