In the demo I have noticed a lot of people doing certain things the hard way when there's a much easier way to do things, i call this way the titan pods.
For those who do not know these pods are on the titan in the gunship and titan gun bay area thing (if anyone knows the proper word for this area i would appreciate them telling me thanks). There's a big sign that occasionally flashes with a pod and an arrow on it, easy enough to find, however you would be forgiven for spending ages looking for an entrance to the pods and just giving up, this is because unless you have some strange shaders on your computer the doors are pretty much indistinguishable from the titan wall, no worries though simply hit E whilst wandering around and you will find yourself in a pod looking down at the battle below you.
Now that you have found your pod will then what? The answer is simply whatever you want the pods are the greatest vehicle in the game (IMO) and they only do one thing! Since there's 6 (think the number of people you can get in a squad here) of them and they spawn pretty much instantly you and pretty much your entire team can be anywhere within roughly 800m of the titan. Pod everywhere the pods will kill fixed emplacements and the people in them leaving you alive, they don't really do much to vehicles but land them on people if you can and they are history (although so are you if you miss because you can't see whilst there's smoke around and the enemy just has to shoot into the column of smoke thats just suddenly appeared). And of course you can pod from one titan to another once the enemy titan's shield has been removed of course.
So basically:
The pod: taking Titans easily, taking missile silos easily, taking your enemy from behind, easily!
And then just two other random side points that may or may not be in the instruction manuals of the full version of 2142, but that i noticed people didn't know about the game in the demo:
1) walkers can crouch (press z, or your equivalent crouch button) and by pressing shift they can run (sort of) and the FA-Vs get a speed boost from the same button.
2) the guns on the titan can be repaired, you simply walk up to the screen with the big red X on it and repair it in the same way you would repair a vehicle, it takes forever to repair fully, but that doesn't matter because you only need one health on it for it to work anyway.
