I dont think my CD drive reads DVDs, and I pre-ordered the game from gamestop, so do I need to cancel the preorder and d/l the game? Or will it be in CD format?

Just take a DVD movie and put it in the drive and see if it reads it. Usually if you have a DVD drive, it'll say "DVD" somewhere on the front of the tray.
