I dont know if this is new, or just the server Ive been playing on that has produced this, but at least 3 times today, they have been wrong.
Ive been playing solid Assault on Gator and in my last round just now, finished with a score of 117 (with about 39/15 KD). Yet the end of round award for best assault player, was to someone who had SEVEN points with it.
And a similar thing happened (again with assault class only since Im after the badge and I now like the kit ) in at least 2-3 other rounds. On the same server.

I know they are not important and count towards fuck all, but wtf? Anyone else noticed this??

Yup, had a similar experience a few days ago and I don't remember why it happens.
(I think I've read something about it on this forum)

Happened to me too.
I think it can happen when you are team-switched by the server or an admin.

Well, Ive never noticed it prior to 1.4, although I have spotted it in the last few days. Just to note, I didnt swap teams or get auto switched.
Strange...but its not exactly a major issue like wall glitching.

I remember when it happened to me, I was autoswitched.
But seems the 2 things are not related...hooray for random bugs.

Following this original topic I made, I can now officially proclaim it not only true, but that it affects badges to be earnt.

I polished off my 100hours as Assault on vanilla. Gave it a break for an hour, came back and checked my time on BF2s - 100:30 hours. Excellent.
Log onto SF. Check BFHQ...100:30 hours as assault. Fine. (I usually do this to ensure that when im after that badge, its gona work).
Log onto WH 24/7 Iron Gator.
Started as engineer in the essex on SEALs, made 5 kills with it. Then we were pushed inside the ship.
The round was one of those long, superbly infantry dominated inside battles. I played assault the entire time, without fail and ended up with 55 kills total (50 kills made with assault and a G3, guaranteed).

No award for expert assault or specialist.

Round ended, and I knew id come top. Since I earnt a gold medal, I checked the "top scores" - I apparantly only played as engineer (no other kits at all...) and someone else with about 20 points was the "best assault player".
So, not only have I been screwed out of 2 expert kit badges - I have to fucking do it again.
All because DICE cant code a simple thing properly to show what kits somebody has played.

I dont complain much about BF2, but that is absolutly pathetic. And they expect me to buy 2142? Fuck that.
