BF2 all the way.

BF2142 is the lamest game in the Battlefield series yet.

With Teamfortress 2 only a couple months from release BF2 will keep me more than entertained till then.

I'm not joining simply because Archangel will already be taken, as will 4rch4ng3l and all the other easy variations, I had the Archangel tag since 1942 and then some douche created and barely ever plays it on bf2. No more. Besides I've heard too much negative feedback about 2142, ok that's why I'm really not going to switch over to it. Although I really do wanna try running around in a mech and teabaggin soldiers...

I think DICE just make the same mistakes repeatedly. 1942 was freaking awesome, but then Vietnam came off like a mod with a cheap engine update and some new features, then bf2, pretty awesome (there seems to be a tendency to flame it, but hell, I enjoy it and I didn't hate any of the patches), and now 2142, which from the demo and the info about it, seems very much like Vietnam was to 1942 - a game with merit, but not a worthy successor. Of course Vietnam had its fans, just like 2142 will, and there will be many a flame war between the different factions. I am guessing that BF3 will be awesome and I hope they take the opportunity to completely rework the original concept. For my money BF3 should be set in either WW2 or the Korean war.

I'm sticking with BF2. I might get 2142 but it won't replace BF2. If it comes to a choice between bf2 and 2142, I choose .. PoE2.

Who is sticking with PoE2?

I have played with the Demo. If that is what they are using to show how GREAT! the new game is....then either it will suck or the Demo doesn't do it justice.

My impressions on 2143 are that it seems slower paced. There are a few good ideas, but def. not enough original content for a whole new game and $50.

I just can't see putting another 600 hours of my life into it, just to get about where I am now in BF2.
I am starting to think about what I could have done with the 600 hours I have wasted so far. Gone back to playing the guitar, built that cool all CSS web site that I have had on the back burner, etc, etc, etc........

My plan is to play BF2 and see what the PS3 looks like. If the PS3 looks like the sweet console it could be.....then going back to sitting on my nice comfy couch with a beer and playing games may just be where I go ..instead of 2143
