Just finished watching the Tv series Over There
For those who don't know tv series about a U.S. army unit in Iraq
I really enjoyed it, it was not as action packed as I thought it would be, but it was a real gritty drama showing the effects of the Iraq war on U.S. soldiers and their families.
To be honest I WAS expecting it to be a load of American drivil about how good the US army is how great they are etc etc (you all know what I mean), but this was a really good show not trying to glorify the war or the US army, not trying to make Iraq's evil just an honest look at the war.

So has anyone else seen this?
what did you think? (particularly interested in any US army peoples opinions)

I got it on DVD ...pretty good series most of it to be taken with a pinch of salt but a couple of episodes are based around real situations...

only managed to see one or two episodes, not enought to judge it, but what i did see lends some credence to atg's statement

hay guys, i watched over*there and i thought it was pritty good too, and not over pro american, it more or less gave a good indication to the problem our troops have (ie coalition). i saw series one, but i was told they are releasing a second, any one no whats happening. I have also justed started watching a series call "the unit" on brave, tuesdays at 10pm, i saw the first episode the other night, its ok but a bit of a rip from the ITV's ultimate force series.

could not just watch it for what it is? A tv show, Fantasy. Its about people & relationships, just so happens to be set in Iraq.

It wasn't sold as fantasy, it was sold as a reality type show.
I bet that unit has the highest rate of anti-Bush, anti-war troops in the entire service.
A bunch of sad sack guards troops crying constantly about wanting to go home...
