It illustrates the Dems view on foreign policy.

lol, this is your idea of a good ad?  It's shit.  I've seen better (and, much, much more funny) political commentaries on the Daily Show.

Reps fail @ political humor.  and politics in general.  jk.

Yep, i was gonna say ANYTHING john stewart does is the best political ad. Though ned lamont put one out recently that's awesome..burning crybaby lieberman to the ground..

ned lamont ad
it's not the prettiest, and i hate mudslinging ads, but this one really hurts.  and it's even true!

Lol, and that ad is just what most of the neo-cons on this forum use as arguments.

Cicciolina had some pretty interesting ones. I won't try to post any links because I know they don't like us linking to nudity.

Cicciolina, for those who don't know, is a pornstar who was elected in Italy. Part of her election campaign involved her walking around naked with the colours of the Italian flag painted over her.

Well, it was my opinion & I respect your's.  In my opinion I think the Daily Show is "shit" and John Stewart is a weenie.

The guy who mad this commercial did the scary movies series.  I'd say he knows his humor (or at least his Box Office stats seems to reflect it).   If you don't find the Albright trying to buy off lil kim with a signed basketball funny well then...

Lighten up..

Box office numbers have nothing to do with how good a movie is? It just means there was a large number of people who wanted to see it. They must enjoy bad movies.

Try not to be too sensitive it's obvious you don't think that commercial is any good because you don't agree with the message. I don't agree with the Daily show sometimes but i watch it almost every night and lmao.

I read these posts and usually laugh while I'm doing it.  This was no exception.  I do like the commercial -I thought the title reflected it.  I also agree with it 100%.  While Albright and Clinton were giving NK basketballs & money not to develop nuclear technology, they were using it to do what they weren't supposed to.  Maybe Bush didn't do enough to stop it, but at least he didn't help them along their way.

I do think Box Office stats are a good reflection on how popular a movie is. Especially if it's a sequel or a sequel to a sequel.

I did like the Daily Show years and years ago when Craig Kilborn (sp?) was the host.  IMO it went down hill after he left..  I will give you Steven Cobert (sp?) was/is a riot, but I don't think he's on the show...

a. Correct. b. Correct. c. Variably incorrect. Hype and marketing can sell even the worst film. However a truly great film could be shrugged off at the box office if not many people see it.

The Da Vinci Code, probably the most anticipated movie of the year, was a complete flop.  Yet it still got lots of people to go see it.  Star Wars episode 1, first SW movie in 10 years, lots of hype, lots of marketing, major disappointment to most people but still it sold lots of tickets.

Kmarion, I hate political ads in general.  The reason I believe it sucks is because it uses "black and white" logic thinking.  Yes, some democrats are ignorant sissies who are embarrasing.  But there are lots of equally embarassing republicans.  I could make a funny ad depicting Bush as the fuhrer while his right wing buddies behind him all do the heil.  I doubt you would think it's funny, because it mocks your party.

The reason the Daily Show is so funny, and the reason why people from both parties watch it, is because it is generally neutral, and makes fun of politics from a neutral perspective.  They are aligned with the democrats, but they make fun of everybody, regardless of party, and it's just plain good comedy.  That's why it's so watchable.  No agenda, just funniness.

OOoh!  Found the best political ad of recent memory here.  I would title it "Talk to the Shrub!"

I'll tell you why the GOP would never air that - because 6 years or so into a Republican regime what do we have? A nuclear capable North Korea!!!! Hooray for the Republican party!
