A couple things to add: (Look at my stats, and you'll see I've done my fair share of pistolling):
The MR-444 sights are "off"... you need to aim a bit below where you think you would to hit. Use the crosshairs before you sight to help line up the shot. However, this gives the 444 the best view of the target.
If you play AT, keep the pistol out unless you know you are going into CQC (and you have a DAO)... remember that the pistol is more accurate and does more damage than the SMGs.
Keep your pistol loaded (you have 7 magazines, plus your primary weapon), and fire as fast as you can, from prone if you can.

Is anyone able to provide a picture of where you look on the pistol to see where the bullet goes? Or are you able to look down the barrel (except for the MR-444) and thats where the bullet goes?
i can't give you a continously good location for pistol mayhem in karkand, but i will say that a good spot i have found for pistol kills is when the hotel is the first base the USMC caps, then many MEC will be running straight down the street from the square to try and cap the hotel back. stand against the ledge that surrounds the flag and fire away. many of the MEC will just run right down the wide open road straight towards you without even looking for cover. i made many of my pistol kills just defending the hotel.mcminty wrote:
I must be the only friggin retard that can't get their BASIC pistol or knife badges. And for that matter their engineer (the repair one, not combat) either. I ALWAYS seem to finish the round with one kill to go.
Any good pistoling spots in karkand? (dont play that much cause of hopping, c4 throwing retards) I just thought that maybe a good spot would be the hill near the USMC arty spawn. It overlooks the area where MEC come to defend their 1st base. Usually alot of grenades are thrown so maybe ill get some easy finishes.
Dunno about my knife kill's tho...
Side note: I can't seem to get the repair one because whenever we need the arty to be fixed, and I say ILL DO IT, the idiot commander just drops supply creates and fixes it instantly. I also find that half the time I don't get the repair point anyway.
and dshak, you didn't offend me with your post
Thankyou, I must try it sometime. Prob later 2day, hope i get my pistol badge.DeltaForceWarrior wrote:

I also find that behind the rocks at the square facing the hotel is also a good place. Just watch your back.
I think it depends on the type of pistol and preference. The american assault type and the silenced pistol are the easiest to aim with for me.polarbearz wrote:

did they really change the pistol in 1,12 so accuracy is now improved when crouching or prone?!?! this would be really stupid, as the lakc of deviation is one of the few things they had right in the first place... anyone who has fired sidearms will tell you (myself included) that it is MUCH easier to fire a pistol accurately from a standing position or crouching than lying prone on the ground. If anything pistol accuracy should decrease while prone.
But silenced pistols ARE more accurate IMHO.. Or maybe its just the thrill of firing a pistol with a silencer's that's gotten into me
