Well, he said "founded", not "funded". Not sure if that changes anythingdubbs wrote:
Get your facts straight. Al Qaeda was not funded, the Talbian and Freedom Fighters were funded by the US. Just like the US funded Saddam in Iraq in the 70's.Bubbalo wrote:
Yes, actually, exactly like those campaigns. You do know Al Qaeda was founded to combat the Russian invasion of Afghanistan?lowing wrote:
yeah like the big campigns we were enganged in in Afghanistan and Iraq in '93, 98,2000, and 2001. Coffee is ready time to wake up.

We weren't exactly waging war in Iraq or Afghanistan when 9/11, The USS Cole and the first attacks on the WTC occurred.Bubbalo wrote:
Israeli and US actions provide most of Al Qaeda's support base. The US not waging war in the Middle East is the worst thing that could happen for Al Qaeda.lowing wrote:
Hell yes they are............They desperately need a liberal back in office so nobody will fight back.

But this time the American he's trying to kill has an assault rifle, some grenades, better traning than he, a bunch of his buddies and the fire support that could destroy a small state. And that American is hunting him.bogo24dk wrote:
You got to be kidding me. Since the Afghanistan and Iraq wars have been started, Al Qaeda has tripled their strength. Osama has to love Bush Policy's. Before 9/11 he had to go to America to blow Americans up. No he can just go out of his cave to find one.lowing wrote:

Fffllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait.
I disagree Cam. Osama didn't care at first which political party was running America. I think that Osama wanted to take what he saw as his rightful place as leader in Saudi Arabia. With the US backing the current ruler and line of succession in Saudi, Osama decided to use the jihad and its subscribers as a vehicle in an insane attempt to displace the current political infrastructure and kill some "Infidels", cause a holy war against Israel and America. Recent Democratic leaders have been arguably submissive and in their half-assed retaliations which would buy the Taliban more time to grow and gain strength. Remember, these guys extend the olive branch before they attack the next day. Democrats are all about the "what did we do to piss you off? Sorry, our bad. Lets talk about it. Can we still be friends?" . The Republicans response is "We've had enough of your crap. Time to meet your virgins". In the last election Osama came out and endorsed Bush. This would be like the KKK endorsing someone in an attempt to get the other guy elected. You will probably disagree, but I think he wanted the softie Kerry elected. Why? Kerry would have pulled the troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan. Now Bin laden has his training grounds back, declares he has just beat the Great Satan and pleads to come and join his cause. It backfired. The US elected Bush anyway -we're in it to win and establish a democracy in Iraq. Sadly, the end isn't in sight yet, but hopefully soon it will be.CameronPoe wrote:
For them it is of strategic benefit to have the Republicans remain in power. The Republican party is probably the single greatest Al Qaeda recruiting tool on earth, whether it likes it or is aware of it or not. However I don't think they do intend to influence the way the American public vote. If a serious event occurs before the elections or Osama releases another video then I'll concede that I'm wrong.
