BF2142 through a proxy

Hi Im at uni and i cant log onto bf2142 (doesnt even connect to EA masterserver) and i was wondering if its because of the uni's proxy? i cant change the proxy but is there a way to get bf2142 to use the proxy / work

it will be.

u cant change it, unless u propose a `gaming team`to the uni, which would open up proxies for certain users, which enables to go on games.
