I've decided that I'm not even going to buy 2142.  I downloaded the demo from EA, installed it...and the damn thing won't even load up on my computer.  I get a damn error message.  And yes, I tried uninstalling, redownloading, and then re-installing it.  Thanks EA

Random deaths from nowhere (it doesn't even show the kill message, "<player> is no more")

Getting owned by Titan guns when you are capping the middle silo.

Well about three replies down is a counter to all the guy said. I can tell he is one of those "anything DICE or EA makes is crap" people judging by the tone.

Sure, but Titan always has engineers onboard. So... you are getting owned anyways... You do know that you can repair the titan guns, do you?

Thank your shitty PC, and your inability, or unwillingness to troubleshoot the problem. Oh gee it doesn't work, I guess it's fundamentally flawed...All I can say is...Your a douche.

thnx ea it downloaded perfect for me. why blame ea maybe you just have a shitty computer

by chance were you missing the d3dx9_29.dll file just search that file and bf2142 and you will find where to download it. then the game will work fine.

I don't think they're interesting, I think they're the cries of disappointed babies. There are SIX points that have to do with lack of technology. Well, I'm not. IF all the weapons in the game were über energy plasma/gauss/zappers/blaster-weapons, how fun would it be to play? If all weapons were superior it would be like playing Red Orchestra with superiour weapons.
The Titan-point is worthless. EA wanted us to get the possibility to have fun inside the Titan, not just shoot the fucker down with slow-ass missile-silos. And why Titans are similar? Well, duh, heard of GAME BALANCE? I've heard about diversity between the teams, but I they're both human factions; it's not like they're probable to have radically diverse technology. Stealing technology has never gotten out of fashion.
To make vehicles better would unbalance the game further; the guy already complains about how bad infantry is, then why the hell should vehicles be more manouverable? I think the vehicles are a pain in the ass as they are.
The HUD- damn it! These aren't special ops, they are regular grunts! You can unlock a cool HUD! Play more and shut up.
The friendly-fire argument... I won't even start.

Violent rant this, to be me. There, I've said it. It was a fun game and people are disappointed it doesn't live up to BF2. Well, I like the new atmosphere. I like the new weapons. I like the fact that weapons overheat quickly so you can't spray bullets like crazy and expect to win.
