Many people are looking for repair points for their badges and medals. I've yet to be TK'ed by someone because he wanted the point, however, I have had a bout 3 other engys running around eachother (and me) to get the repair points.
But in theory, if there was like 5 tickets left, and I needed ONE more point to get the expert (I have it, so it IS a theoretical issue), I WOULD TK the other engy to get "his" repair point.
The number of assets that get blown/shot/bombed are quite limited, and it IS tough to get repairs by following armor around. Especially on maps with attack helos and jets. The "one hit kills" just makes it a bitch being engy. A lot of people get it on Oman as US. If your team can keep a couple of flag on the beach, the MEC bomber WILL empty his bombs into the arty before reloading/reparing if he still has bombs left. So you can often get about 15 points in a round if you dont get beat up by the bombs.

Expert repair has been such an elusive bitch to me, I would understand if someone TKed me for their last repair point at the end of a round....but not for repairs in general.
Get a terrible AA driver (good drivers avoid rockets, get a lance corporal), sit on top with your wrench out. It doesnt need to recharge, and every time he gets hit by an AT rocket, you get repair time.
Exactly my point. I'm not saying that I have TK'ed for a repair point, but I WOULD if it was the last point I needed, and I had to TK to get it. I played for WEEKS to get the expert repair. It IS a bitch to get, so I can understand if you spawn engy to get a single point why someone who's "jockeying", as the original poster called it, would ask you to leave him to his work, and have you be on your way.Mad Ad wrote:

Wow, how many people were on that server that you got the expert engineer badge with 100 tickets left? And was everybody on the other team just trying to destroy your stuff or something?
If he stayed on the Essex, and the Chinese team had pilots that were taking out the F-35s, then it is very good chance. One good pilot can control how many planes/choppers take off from the Essex, and basically keep them all on the ground.FrankieSpankie3388 wrote:

Also on that map, if you attack the Essex, most attack from the end where the AA is, since there are F-35s and Helos just behind that, and you get a clean run back to the Chinese airfield to reload.

Yeah, you can repair it with any1 in it or not. I would taunt the j10/helos ....FrankieSpankie3388 wrote:

... with the j10 i would bail first clink if i didn't see it first, if they destroyed the turret i would repair it ... if they didn't i would get in for the kill.
... with the helo (can't remember the name), if i didn't destoy it they would follow though with a missile, which is slow enough to get out in time.
... other times someone else would get in it and repairing would buy a little time for them (they would mostly die though) ....
j10 mostly hammered it if someone was in it or not .... I would go prone behind the ladder, keeping far enough away to get hurt .. i died 4 times in the process and had enough round time left to pull kdr back up.

There is something wrong when your FFN stats are so important to you, you would do the immmoral to get them. It aint about stats friend, it's about team play. Stats are just in the background. If you TK'ed me, you would die the rest of the map, or next few maps at my hand, and whatever squadmates I could get in theres hand's. That's Chicken Shit as hell. If you gotta "Go For" a badge, you don't deserve it yet any way.Twist wrote:

Btw, I wouldn't think fora second if I had to kill a team mate to get that last repair point. It isn't really a moral issue to me to kill one team mate in a video game!
TK'rs won't get into heaven.
I got 19 repair points in a round just yesterday, with another engineer getting about 7. Very frustrating but there is no way I will TK for it. It makes it more satisfying when you do finally get it in the right way.
Where in hell do you hide on that platform so that when a J10 or something blows it up, you dont also die??jsnipy wrote:

I tried behind the far ladder, I tried underneath the block platform, tried as far back by the railings as I can (but the spanner doesnt reach that far in) and I tried over by the spawn but deck strafing J10s always shot me even when they didnt touch the AA.
Mostly it was a suicide death rather than a full kill, but still I spent most of my time running back to the AA and half the time the damn thing fixed itself before I could get enough of a spanner on it. (15 secs to respawn, 5-10 secs to run across the deck to beat a 30 second respawn timer on the AA)
I spend about 6 rounds trying it last night- 8 repairs max. No dice. So unless I can find somewhere to lay that doesnt suicide me when it blows, i cant see how its going to work.
I repaired two artillery cannons, and a uav trailer after they were completely destroyed and I did not get one repair point. What gives?
What gives is you revived a 1 year, 10 months ago topic , AFTER you made a topic about repair points.
Its Androo.
