No offense but you should've thought that one through before buying the CD key.
Try the EA support to get a new cd-key.
You can get a new CD key on EA games for ten dollars and proof of purchase (your other two CDs). That's what I did.

If you have the original disc You and fill out a ticket with EA support. They can reissue you a new key. their are a set of numbers on the clear middle ring they will ask for. I may take a month or so to get a new key if EA see's fit to give you one, but is worth a shot.blaklinx wrote:

What makes you think that EA sell bulk CD keys for people to re-sell anywhere? They dont, 1 copy 1 key...anything else is hacked, stolen from someone or keygenned.
Anyone selling without the disk on ebay could only have got it hacking, stealing or keygenning and do you think that kind of person is likely to sell the same key to untold amounts of people? I do.

So dont worry, noone has "impersonated" you. Someone HAS however used your CD key, and this has resulted in a global ban of the key. Presumably because this key has been spread around a lot.
If you can document ownership of your game, and EA support will believe that you have done nothing to deserve a global ban, then presumably they will get you a new key. I doubt it though. For reasons unknown to all of us, we spend a lot of dough on this game, and then after playing we get stuck with a "RoE" and a lot of fine print that WASN'T on the package when we bought the game.
Fortunately, as your account seems untouched, you CAN just buy a new copy of BF2 and uninstall/reinstall using the new key. But then we're back to the part about sending money on something with a lot of fine print in it.

thx to all that helped, I emailed ea support on that link, and punkbuster. Waiting for a reply for now. Yea it was a dumb move to buy that key off ebay, I just didnt want to buy the dam game again, because I lost my manual. shit I guess I just might have to, this is a fun game. Thx to all again.
