im not positive but i think it means you need to download the latest DirectX and then download the demo again....not sure though...i am havin the same issue but dont care to fix it cuz im not into 2142 anyway....BUT...i did talk to some clan members and thats what they said....and it worked for them.  Hope that helps bro.

unzip it to any new folder. Click on the "installer" folder inside this new folder. Double click on DXSETUP exe proggy, and proceed to install like normal.

Luckeydogg, I back you up on this one, I just did a search for the forum that has the answer to this issue, and could not find it.    One reason is that the title has .ddll in it.

OIc...  Anyways I found a site where you can download DirectX .dll's...  Downloaded it & it works fine...  Thnx for the help anyways...
