I just cant help me thinking about EA's last rip-off:

downloader price for the US: USD.49.99
downloader price for the EU: € 49.99 (at current exchange rate that's exactly 63.02 american bucks)

Now can anyone come up with a good reason to that?

Yep, we pay £30 which comes to about $55, still, we're used to getting ripped off over here so it's not a shock.

Now come to think of it, couldn't I just pretend I'm american and save myself £5?

When I was in the UK i found everything had the same numerical value as north america. ex Cheeseburger in US $5, cheeseburger in UK 5 pounds. This means that everything is actually just more expensive in UK, not just EA.
