Joystick all the way, you have much more control (no matter what most people say) and for me it feels much more natural.
As for suggestions, I'm getting a logitech 3D pro, or something like that, seems to one of the better sticks out there for this kind of game.

Joystick is really good to fly jets. It takes a lot of practice and patience to learn how to fly a chopper with a joystick. If you want to buy one I'd recommend <Logitech® Freedom 2.4™ Cordless Joystick> URL. Also, I heaard that it's good to fly choppers with gamepad; never tried it myself though...

Joystick is best for flying planes but it's more personal preference in the chopper arena

Switching to a joystick immediately doubled my ability in jets. It took a little while to get used to it in helis, but now I'm hooked and won't go back to kb&m. Definitely get a stick, you won't regret it. Here's what I use: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/produ … ENTID=6954
i got a joystick for 15 dollars, i got the logitech atk3, its not the best one, but you get your moneys worth, heres mine http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/produ … NTID=6953, it says its 24, but fo to www.tigerdirect.com, and i bet itll be cheaper
for me its the joystick, when you come up against someone who is using a keyboard you can always tell as their movement are not as fluid and are a lot easier to take out

I don't fly jets, kb+mouse for choppers.
A stick is recommended for jet pilots, for choppers is just personal preference.

Learning to fly a jet with a joystick is easy. 2 days and you no longer need to think about how to do something, you just do it. With a chopper, it took me a week of practice to adjust. But man, it payed off!

Reverse your mouse axis for choppers and practice a lot. Some guys who like to show off that they have the most leet gear will tell you that it's essential you have a Logitech ED-209 Macro Laser Sight with Telescopic Sniper Scope joystick but you absolutely do not need anything more than a keyboard and mouse to be an excellent chopper pilot.

I've piloted people who have asked if I "use a mouse or joystick" when I reply niether just keyboard they are shocked.

using mouse-keyboard is very doable... i do pretty damn well in jet and chopper and i only use mouse... altho i think i could probably eek out a little more in a jet if i were to use a joystickLupoo wrote:
