I never thought that I would be able to get my vet medic badges without vehicle whoring. Ever. It's how I got my normal vet, but I was just playing Surge, and managed to earn it. 22 kills, 5 deaths. All with the pistol + L85A1. And I couldn't have done it without the help of my squad.

It was great - all of them were spawning on me, we were capping flag after flag after flag. We had an AT guy, another medic, a support, and 2 assaults. The support was handing out ammo, providing supressing fire, the assaults helped to clear enemies ahead with flashbangs, the AT guy killed enemy vehicles, whilst the medic and I healed and revived them.

It was really enjoyable - every time I died, I knew a squadmember would be there to help me. Heck, they even took my kit and healed me with it. I got my 21 kills with ease, we got best squad, and we filled most of the top places on the team. I even got a silver medal

/wishes all games could be like that one

Indeed. I hope for many more such experiences.

i had a great game like that too, except we didnt have a support guy, but thats ok.  its weird how no one realizes how fun it is to actually use teamwork.  everyone else is way too self centered

These are the battles we're all hoping to fight.

Not battles with egoistic, selfish people going for kills, kills and more kills.

i hate tank whores.. Take the piss they do. just most un teamwork like people around..

Spoils it for all.

Good teamwork is brilliant.. i have a regular squad of two of us and if the others turn up there can be 5.

Always a great work out and when people listen its great

It's very rare to find people who would be willing to play as a true squad. Mostly when I'm in a squad, one guy from my squad is on the west side of the map, another on the east side and everyone else is scattered around. They usually completly ignore the squad leader's orders. I try to follow the squad leaders orders (most of the time)

I had a great game on Warlord as SAS... we hit the palace in true special forces fashion. We had 2 Assaults and 2 Spec-Ops and we'd grapple a building and the team would all climb up and then the spec-ops would zip line and we'd all go down and it was sweet. efficient too, we took the entire palace in ~3 mins.

Nice man, but there are still not enough people around to make good teamwork possible every round, sadly enough.

Got both my vet assault badges in a similar fashion last night - night flight, as a squad we first stormed the airport building as one unit, picking up loads of kills on the way up (and down). And then we got in those AIR raiders, ran a few guys over on the way to the air control tower, cleared that place out too

Rest of the round we just zoomed from point to point, capping and killing. (Why can't all my games be this good?)

Checking my stats, I need to whore vehicles more. I have four times as many kills with guns etc than vehicles

It would be great, if it is always like that! Unfortunatly you will find a shit load of players, that just playing on their own. For example, how often you find squad members on a server, that not even stop the car, if you ask for a ride? I've stopped counting them...

SF is now more team based than normal BF2, u can see from some threads that some ppl *cough* vehicle whores *cough* cant keep up their KD since they have no honour running around w/ the weapon that god gave to him (his gun) to kill sum bitches

I had a game like this recently too.  Ended up with a silver star, squad leader ended up with the gold.  It was on whatever that map is with the Spetnaz/Rebels, train yard, chemical plant, etc...

Anyway, squad leader was Support, I was medic, we had a spec ops and an assault.  We just stayed in a group, we'd get up on a flag, fan out around it, then come in for the cap.  it was a good time.

On Thursday nights, there's a bunch of us from where I work that play, anywhere from 3 to as many as 8, most ever was 10 with teamspeak.

Now that is fun...

I've had some similar experiences. It helps that I have 3 or 4 friends (also 'clannies', but we use the term lightly) who play with me. So we've got a good start to a squad just by ourselves, but if a couple of other team players (read: other clans, usually) joins our squad then we have AWESOME rounds. Everything clicks, you hit the zone, every flag is yours to own, every goon is yours to kill.

One of the most pleasant such experiences I  had, was going through the secret tunnel thing from the massive missile up to the command centre, and all 6 of us just poured through that little hole and ripped enemy after enemy to shreds, employing every little trick each kit had up its sleeves.

Synergy.

Hey guys,

I bought SF a month or so ago and didnt really play that much of it, but thought Id give it another go last week, really enjoying the night maps, and growing to like the other day maps.

And you guys are right about SF and teamwork, I am enjoying SF just for this, join with a good squad and even if we dont win I fell like Ive had a good round.

I think the lack of choppers/planes on SF maps is a good thing, and the night maps are better for stealth etc.

Anyway, good fun and keeping me going on BF2..
