A few weeks after 1.4 came out, I tried to get into this game again but everything was so fucked up, I was sick and tired of it after 3 rounds, seeing that all the things I used to hate got even worse.
I played BF2 from the first day it came out here and at first, Bunnyhopping was alright. Pronespamming, Dolphindiving and all the shit too. But then, apparently some servers reacted to the whining noobs and added those great rules:
"No bunnyhopping, no Dolphindiving or Kick/Ban"
Now I'm not the person who ignores rules, I just played and tried not to do what was forbidden, though it was kind of annoying to get M203'd by the SAME bunnyhopper over and over again. BUT, I did NOT whine and told EA to "fix" this. I played on.
Though, a few months ago, BF2 started to fall apart, really. Everything got worse as far as I could see. TKers everywhere: TK for vehicles, TK to piss off, TK for fun yada yada yada. PKM-whores killing snipers at 200m with a single shot, J10s eating EVERYTHING that dares to fly more than 2 meters.
STILL, I didn't whine about it, I played on, thinking that it'll be better again sometime...I was wrong. It got worse and worse...So one evening, I thought a little and decided to stop playing BF2. I kept that for many weeks now and it'll stay that way. The only BF2-related thing I'll keep doing in the future is playing with friends, people I know, people I don't hate for playing like assholes.
For those who didn'T care to read this, I'll cut it short:

Edit: I think a lot of the people who are complaining about the 1.4 patch are the people who are not able to(well, not as easily)prone spam/dolphin dive with great effectiveness. In short, if you are used to playing a certain way, i.e. prone spamming every two seconds, then of course you will be upset when you can't do it as great as you could before. I do not see anything wrong with this patch other than a few bugs concerning weapons. Everything else is all gravvy to me and I love this game very much so. I think what people have to realize is that this is just a game. So they changed some stuff. So what? At least they are still pumping out patches a full year and a half after its initial release. You can't say that about every company.

Couldn't have said it better myself patton. I stopped playing BF2 a day after 1.4 came out. Now I'm relaxing on Company of Heroes (First RTS I have ever enjoyed) and playing some CoD2 with my clan for fun. Fuck BF2, it was the best game I had ever played for the first half a year it was out, but it was nerfed to an extreme.
