Ok, I've just bought a Logitech extreme 3D pro and I cant get the thing to work, when I take off it auto moves me where ever it wants. It doesn't let me change views now either. If anyone out there has the same joystick can they please take a screen shot of there controls for in a jet and heli. Please.
I seem to remember a friend of mine buying one of these and having to download new drivers from the logitech website.
Worth a try.
Worth a try.
Have you calibrated it yet and setup the controls in BF2, i have one the buttons on the base as my change view button.
I don't even know what calibrated is, lol. I've tried changing the control but erm yeah.
When you installed the drivers and software , did you have to do stuff like moving the joystick in a complete circle and stuff like that?
Also make sure logitech profiler is running and setup your deadzones and stuff it a take ab it of fiddling but it important.

Yeah, I think I may have messed it up though, I didn't realize that actually did anything so I just messed about.
Re do that then and it should sort do exactly as it says...
So I'd have to unistall then install again?
Ok, I haven't calibrated it yet, it was a test page lol. where do I calibrate?
On the Control Panel dude - select Game Controllers - calibrate it there
Shouldn't have to uninstall it at all.

Thanks coke.
You did state 'I don't think...' which indicates to me that you might not have tried.
Not interested in a flame war here. Just wanted to help Doggespike. That's all.

I also said you cant with my force 3D, I said think because he only has the extreme version that was why I wasnt sure, there problem solved. I dont know why you can't calibrate through control panel or anything I've had a look and the only way you seem to be able to do it is with the drivers disk, bit silly but there you go.

Notice how i set it up so i can fly keyboard, and joystick if i want.
and how i binded some of the controls like VOIP to squad, VOIP to commander, enter/exit vehicle and parachute

good, good happy to help
I'm going to revive a really old topic here, but;
what does dead zones mean?
I've set up my profiler but haven't touched the dead zones cuz I really have no clue what that means

I'm guessing it's the area when your joystick is sat central. You adjust your dead-zones so that when you aren't touching the joystick it doesn't erroneously report any kind of movement which would result in drift within the game.Doggehspike wrote:

There is a guide on adjusting them here.
Ah thanks
