Now this is not to say everyone is like that but i know a lot who are like this, i now class myself as novice to expert, even though my stats arn't great the way i play now is far different.
According to my rank I'm a n00b!
But wait, I only ever go in one server, (Jolt.co.uk #4 citymaps), and that is a citymap server so I'm an expert!
But there is more! I have an average score in each round 40-70, which makes me a novice.
Infact I'm going to list all the attributes I have and the ranks associated with them, and ask you to rank me lol.
My attributes;
Rank: First sergeants and below [Noob]
Has mastered vehicles [Novice]
Usually medic or support (or sniper and AT aswell in my case) [Novice]
Will sometimes eject n00bs from helis, jets using the M95 [Novice]
Likes the words "Haxor" and "N00b" [Novice]
Servers: City maps [Expert]
Will Not hesitate to switch teams [Expert]
Has mastered each weapon (all the standard ones plus MY unlocks anyway) [Expert]
Works always in squads that have more than Four players in the squad [Expert]
Likes the words "STFU N00b" [Expert]
Loves to jump around (and go prone in midair PL0x) [Expert]
Sticks to a particular server [Expert]

I am often found in a helo, will switch teams to open up a better helo (cobra), tend to get 70+ points a round easily, know how to use my weapons, kick ass in squads, always say to let me fly/solo, never jump, and stay with my clans server where I have a ping of 6.
I'm afraid I don't come under any of those. I'm a Gunny Sarge, but I get an average score of about 50 and I go on killing sprees with a normal weapon.
I like your classification (+1), although in Battlefield 2 there are parameters to measure the level of expertise, and that's what some medals are for, more specifically, the Infantry Medals:
Combat Infantry Medal : Basic Infantry Operator
Marksman Infantry Medal : Veteran Infantry Operator
Sharpshooter Infantry Medal : Expert Infantry Operator
These system is not confusing, so, if you don't have the Marksman Infantry you're basically still a noob; and if you don't have the Combat Infantry Medal then you're still a puke.

I have every award needed, I jsut don't have the time req.

And BTW, there's only ONE Combat Infantry Medal, the others two are: Marksman and Sharpshooter Infantry Medals; altogether are the Infantry Medals.

Thats what I ment, I could couldnt remember the names of the other two so I choose the name Infantry combat medals as I thought that would define the medals gained for combat as an Infantry trooper
