I wonder how many people are gonna wish they had the weapon skin after they find out rank 2 is only 40 points, or about 2 games.

Puhaha, if you get 40 points a round in 2142 you are doing VERY well, everything is worth 1 point. Games seem shorter as well. Top scorers in a round on many of the games I played during beta (where the titan didn't prematurely explode and regenerate its shields) usually scored between 20-30 points. If (as you are suggesting) you can make 80 points in a round in 2142 you would be making about 160 points a round in BF2. Remember they have taken out 16 player mode, so you can no longer play big maps with less people.

So to answer your question, I stand by my statement; 40 points = 2 rounds for an average player.

it will automatically rank you up once you start the game, since the EA member login info is what logs you into the game now. not gamespy but EA
