Who do you think is the greatest drummer of all time? Just curious so I could go check out some videos. I say it's Neil Peart from Rush since he doesn't even need a band:
I agree with you. Peart is incredible... no one plays the way he does. His changes are untouchable. It's hard to keep up with him on most songs.

John Bonham from Led Zeppelin.

Neil Pert is WAY too over-rated. Great yes! But not amazing.
Steve Gadd is AMAZING!
Terry Bozzio is AMAZING!
John Bonham AMAZING!
You can never say who's the greatest ever! There are soooo many different styles it's untrue,
So topic is CLOSED.......

John Bonham was really the first rock drummer.
Too many to name in reality. All had different styles and genres. But here's a few of my favorites.
Dave Grohl - Nirvana
John Bonam - Zepplin

John Bonam - Zepplin
Animal from the Muppets ftw!
John Bonham too, I'd say Neil Peart and John Bonham definately have to be the top two drummers of all time.
Duplicate post, sorry, lol. And yeah, ANIMAL ROCKS!!!!

Billy Cobham of Mahavishnu Orchestra/Miles Davis fame.
Bill Bruford especially when he was with King Crimson in the mid-1970s.
And surprisingly Phil Collins. You have to go waaay back to the mid-late1970s when he was in a band called Brand X (none of that sickeningly sweet shit that Genesis would later become in the 80s) his stuff was exceedingly good.

That has to be some of the best drumming I have ever seen.FrankieSpankie3388 wrote:

Led Zeppelin - Kashmir
also check out the Immigrant Song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2U3HMh1xBU0
that drumming is amazing, not to mention Robert Plants vocals and Jimmy Page on the guitar. And its a shame to leave out John Paul Jones, who was quite good himself.

Neil Peart is the greatest drummer who ever walked the Earth.
Unless you are a drummer with an expert opinion to say otherwise is foolish.
