Stay away from this gun. It has a maximum deviation per shot of 10, the highest in the game by far.
.
This info is wrong, there are two numbers in the wiki about the deviation per added shot, the first is the added deviation, the second is the maximum deviation, at which point the weapon get no less accurate even with additional shots.
All the support weapons have a 0.1 deviation per added shot, except the PKM which has 0.15
IE the T95 and the RPK have identical accuracy if both player are standing.
This means that the RPK is probably the best of all the weapons as it is more accurate than the PKM after the first shot, it fires faster, and only needs one more shot to kill a target with body armour.
This is only 50% true, while the deviation when zoomed is 1, there is the recoil when zoomed factor of 0.5Talon wrote:
Q: Do I need to zoom?
A: No. Zooming has no effect on accuracy. Never zoom at close range, it takes time. At long range, you (not the gun) will place the shots better, so you may as well. Learning to cope without zoom helps a lot though.
Since this is a calculation on every shot after the first, zooming in halves the recoil and makes the weapons more accurate.

Also it has more ammo to kill more targets, it overheats later then the pkm, it's prone and fire delay seems to be less then the PKM (for prone spamming), and it is still a one head shot kill weapon (unlike the MG36 or the SAW) so you can get a lot of nice headshots with it. In 1.2 the PKM was the beast, but now the RPK is definetly superior and I play MEC Sharqi just to abuse people with that gun.DrM wrote:

those screenshots... i could swear i know that game!
1. I looked in my BF2 files before I (attempted to) reinstall it, and some stuff is different than what it says in the Wiki and your guide:
-The M249 and HK21 have min deviations of 0.3.
-The MG36, PKM, and RPK-74 have min deviations of 0.35.
-The Type 95 has a min deviation of 0.4.
-The M249 and Type 95 take 6 shots to kill an armored target, not 7.
Hope this helps.
Edit: Also:
-The MG36 and HK21 both take 5 shots to kill an armored target, not 6.
-The RPK-74 takes 4 shots to kill an armored target, not 5.

You moron you took a decent kit and used your style of guide on it...
But check teh MAchinegunning section in Wiki for all you need to know except for how to throw a bag at your comrades when they are in need.

MG36 rules! i can beat a PKM with the MG any day, i have killed people with is on FULL auto at 100 meters before today, i just came out of a round with 100 odd points with using the MG. It is the most accurate LMG (bar PKM, but the PKM's full auto sucks like all hell) in the game.
Mine is 1) RPK 2) PKM 3? MG36..... then the rest.
Add me on Origin for Battlefield 4 fun: DesKmal
One problem not afore mentioned: MG36 kills in 4/5, not 4/6. You are not giving this un full credit.
MG63 is a good gun, very useful on Chinese maps.

if i'm supoort I always use the MG36, i dont understand why you find it an horeble gun. The MG36 is really good when fireing in bursts, even at long range. but maybe that's just my opinion.
+1 for the guide, you've done a great job

+ 1 nice guide, thanks
I think something muy importante not stressed in this guide is a huge part of the support job... and that's SUPPORTING other players. You see your sniper on the roof, go put an ammo bag up there. And don't just stroll around on the roof, go prone an crawl over there, don't draw attention to the spot. It's stressed over and over, but dropping ammo bags at your flag does no good unless you'ree team is being backed into a base. You see a Spec Op laying C4 on an enemy base... walk with them with your bag out so they can cover the whole area.
Also... SUPRESSION FIRE!!! You see enemy snipers running to an area, open up that MG on them. You may not get kills, but you will probably get dmg assist pts. Also, by supressing you are helping your TEAM. Give your snipers time to sight them or your assault time to get in position for the kill.
Avoid spray and pray! When you are supressing pick a spot, or a couple of spots and keep hitting them.
You have no sprint, so get in a vehicle as much as possible. A big moving ammo bag can really do a lot for the team.

I find the PKM the most random gun in the game. It hits when IT wants to not when YOU want to. I mean you can be like 5 meter from someone and unload a clip and not one bullet would hit them sometimes. THe gun is a great gun but pisses me off so often.
Im always using the PKM or other support weapons lately, the support gun is a mans gun, if you use anything else your gay
Or maybe you're insecurepure_beef_69 wrote:

Good guide +1 to you now maybe I will get some goddamm ammo instead of switching to the damm pistol.
I'm one of those who finds the MG36 to be the most accurate of the support weapons. I don't know why, but when I use the PKM I get killed with it. When I use the MG36 in the same situation I kill the enemy. The nicest thing about the SAW is the 200 round mag, but it's accuracy sucks, when in real life it is just as good as the others if not better.
I disagree that the Type 95 is useless. I use it on Wake all the time and I do fine with it. It actually seems quite accurate and you can nail somebody from a decent distance using short bursts.
The best strategy when using support guns, which you touched on, is to stay in close-combat situations. On wide-open maps like Wake, you stick to buildings, hills, etc. where only people who are very close to you can see you, and in those situations you have the advantage in firepower. Stay low until you reach the enemy base then wreak havoc from inside out. In an ideal world, this would free up your friendly troops from engaging in combat as they move into the base because the enemies are preoccupied with you, but this is almost never the case.

just one thing MG36 is not crap. On the 3 shot burst it has like nooooo shot deviation and no recoil at all. If you know how to use it and you don't fire all 100 rounds right away then it owns. I always get like 40+ killss a round with it.imdead wrote:

I have a guide for the Support:
Primary weapon - grenades
Best tactic - dolphin dive macro
Primary Goal - spawncamp
Only give ammo to yourself and model your pixel after Volx.
props to that dude MG36 owns!!!DSRTurtle wrote:

I just hope everyone understands the guide explains ONE opinion on the MG36. I'd pick the PKM over the MG36, but I found it to be useful myself. The problem is with the stupid iron sight:
The gun feels more accurate then all the lmgs to me, but is comparatively weak with a 600rpm. The 3 shot burst should be a single shot if you ask me.

Wow, you seem to pretty negative about the HK21. You get 200 rounds, 200! You hardly ever have to reload, and if you're a smart support guy, then you know when to reload. It's terribly inaccurate when standing and on the move, but it's pretty stable in short bursts while prone. You can just mow guys down on Great Wall.
I was stating my opinion about the MG36 in reply to his opinion. Everyone has one and they are entitled to state them. I certainly was complaining or bitching about the guide in general as I think it is very comprehensive and pretty good in details.DisasterMaster wrote:
