hi every1,

recently im lookin for a new videocart for my pc

now i saw this geforce 7600 that seemed suitable for me.
im not much of a computer genius so here is my question:

it sais PCI (express) port needed!!!

altho i dotn know what this means or how i could see if i have this.

Next to the standard slots you have dedicated slots for graphics cards

The 'older' type of MB/grahic cards uses AGP slots
The more recent MB uses PCI-express as it allows faster and more transfer between MB and graphics card

The difference in the slot types: Both uses a an assymetrical layout of pins, the AGP slot has the smalles series of pins towards the inside of the PC, the PCI-express has the smallest connector towards the outside of the PC

The small part of an PIC-express slot is also smaller then the small part of an AGP slot.
PCI-express slots are also closer to the back of the PC, compared to the AGP position
