how to patch BF2, SF, EF, AF

I searched, coudn't find two same opinions, so here I go. I tried both ways:

1/ BF2, SF, EF, AF, 1.4 ... cant play EF, AF
2/ BF2, SF, 1.4, EF, 1.4, AF, 1.4 ... cant play EF, AF

weird thing is I install EF and AF with the EA downloader and it's real fast, says Im done, booster is installed but I dont get the icons on my desktop. If I join regular BF2 I can see all the servers/maps in white, but if I try to join any I get the message that I need to have the same version.

any clue? maybe I should unistall the EA downloader and re-d/l both EF,AF and 1.4?

guess it's 1.2 after SF, cause SF happens to patch 1.1. anyway, thanks, bro. as soon as I find a place to download 1.2 and 1.3 I will give it a try.
fucking EA, why cant they give it a release note to explain patching 'in detail'? first they screw up by releasing a game that needs a million patches, then they SELL booster packs for money but dont give us a clue about fricking installation.
I just dont think I should even be asking myself about how to install these fucks after I spent €110 for just this game?

I played SF yesterday night and was fine. have been playing mostly vanilla since 1.4 and no, nothing. well, it did give me the impression that requirements grew bigger for some reason, but no real "lag".
Wish I could install EF and AF for further testing tho...

BF2
SF auto patched before installing.
EF
AF
Patched to 1.4 ( used full not incremental )

All works perfectly

thanks, dude, at least I know where to look. my guess is EA's downloader fucked up. I will uninstall it with all the downloads and re-install re-download EF, AF and FULL 1.4. Thanks for the useful confirmation.

Yup thats your best bet, thats what I did the last time I had to re-install, - the EF though.

I reinstalled everything yesterday like this: BF2 - Full 1.4 - SF - EF - AF - Full 1.4 (Again).

do you download and install the boosters one at the time or download all, including the patch then just follow the install order? you have all the icons of BF2, SF, EF, Af on your desktop?

You guys...
1.4 patches everything.
I have done this a couple times:

Install BF2, SF, EF, and AF. Then patch with 1.4(full)

You may want to restart your computer between each install.

If this does not work, you are doing something wrong or your computer sucks.

EF and AF do not have icons for your desktop.

funny... confusing... HEADACHE! when I first got EF I installed it and I had two icons on my desktop, just the same as for BF2 and SF but in blue. Moreover, when I try to install EF without patching it says that I need the later version top install the booster pack. :-S

I have already downloaded, burn, made cases with pictures & everything for EF & AF. It doesnt exist icons for the booster packs just for BF2 & SF. The Boosterpacks are INSIDE of BF2.

When I tryid to install SF after BF2 without patching it first to 1.4 it didnt work couse it said something like I didnt have 2,3 Gb free space (thoug I had 16 Gb free ). So I did like I said before and I think everything works. After I installed AF it said something like: "You may have to do the FULL 1.4 patch again because bla bla bla...".

EA just answered me: BF2>SF>v1.4>EF>AF>V1.4. that's the suggested installation order.

i have 1.4 installed and can play fine on normal bf2 and on euro forces bf2 but cannot play on armored fury? do i have to patch af as well? and if so how do i do it?
