Hey pplz,

I am trying to get my ISP (who already hosts heaps of game servers) to host a BF2 & 2142 server. They dont have a problem with it, however they said they did have a BF2 server but couldn't get it ranked, when I asked why they said that EA simply didn't return their emails and over time the server just died as no one used it (because it wasnt ranked).

They are willing to run a 2142 server but only if they can get it ranked. Does anyone know the process or what is required to get servers ranked? My ISP is the third largest in Australia, I dont see why they would have any problems?!!?

Thats nice, right back at em! lol

But still, our big ISP's (Bigpond aka Telstra) for example have "Gamearena" servers, and HEAPS of em... weird that they can get plenty of ranked BF2 servers and iiNet can't?

Well I'd defiantly play on there server if it was ranked since if you ask me AU doesn't have enough servers as it is. But i do not know how to get a ranked server.

Well I have emailed EA and asked them what the deal is, they have a specific department just for ranked servers, one would assume they know how to do it and what is going on.

IF I get a response I will let you all know.
