strykker yeah we go way back to ka-boom days, is that server still around I can't seem to find it
There is no point or mayber there is and you don't know about it yet ?KEN-JENNINGS wrote:
i wish i was playing, you would have got a sraw up your ass...seriously, there is no point flying that low to the ground
I thought this was gonna be a ground pounding vid.
Nice though.
Reminds me of when I joined a server 70% into the game and in 10 minutes I was already passing the guy in second overall.
I whore so much with the 101.

I use keyboard/keybaord and that didn't look any special. Its always nice to have no enemys in the air isn't it?alpinestar wrote:
Joystick as always I don't think you can controll a chopper like that with KB/Mouse
and no one on foot willing to shoot you... but anyway not a bad video.
ofcourse it's nice to have no enemies in air, that's why you take airfield to have that opportunity.
Naw, I'm pretty confident in saying that in the particular video, there really is no point in flying that low. That being said, there are times when you need to fly low, just not over an enemy base. Nice video though, good control.alpinestar wrote:

Sigh. Heard of circling a flag? Your gunner and yourself would have done so much better if you didn't charge at everything blindly.
Let me reiterate the point: Flying so low/charging at targets = fastest way to invite a good AT player to send a rocket straight at you.
Barring the fact that there was ZERO threat from the opposing team.

Ok for all of you that think flying too close to infantry is a wrong move, it is harder to predict a path of fast moving chopper on short distance than it is on long distance, because you cannot control the flight path of your AT rocket so you are limited to shoot and hit rather than shoot and guide to hit, I wouldn't fly that low if I died every time I did it , but then again everyone has a different style of flying I take my chances in low altitude while others do good higher I can show you few other movies where people miss AT rockets almost every time, besides with my 24 inch monitor and high resolution im able to tell if guy has AT kit or not from far away

I dunno, joystick feels way too sluggish from the looks.
Mouse + Keyboard ftw
Mouse + Keyboard ftw
You know what's fucking stupid?
People congratulate this guy and tell him they admire his skills, and others come in here and mouth off about "oh, he's not that good" or "he should fly like this"
He came to show everyone a new tactic he learned and wanted to share with his community!
Not like alpine even hints at saying he's better than anyone, but people take it that way, maybe because they are insecure (OMG OMG my dick is bigger, fuck yuo!)
Pssh, sounds like jealousy or ignorance to me, take your pick.

F9 is nothing new, and it's not as revoultionary as you make it out to be. The primary reason you got 100 kills in 4 min, was that the other team was full of noobs, not because of F9.
However, I will applaud you and your gunner. It just goes to show what can happen when people with mnore than half a brain team up and work together in BF2.
I am one of these 'good AT players' you guys keep mentioning, and in general I find it's much easier to hit a chopper when it flies low. You just sort of hide/lay low until the chopper comes in close, flies low, or 'stops' to make a turn. Boom. If I had been in that server, you would've had SRAWs going up your ass and coming out your nose.

for those that want the name of melodi...(me ) , the name is Boney M - Rasputin

does f9 mean spawn camping? lol
Love is the answer
I agree. I love taking out choppers with AT. I can remember being pummeled by Alpine at TeamKoK's Wake Island and not being able to hit him for the exact reason he stated, very frustrating. (That may have been me with that sole rocket in the video.) I did get him once out of like 10 deathsalpinestar wrote:

I guess this backs up what I saidpfc_toecutter wrote:

Nice vid - good skills!
Don't listen to tah h4t3rz (pun intended) - they're just jealous because no one has ever given them cred.
That, and mommy didn't show enough attention poor bastards.

you have?alpinestar wrote:
k, well Im not trying to prove my flying skills but appreciate positive feedback what I tried to explain was that when there is no communication and you have a noobie as gunner you can put him to work with simple explanation of watching the nose , I also think that other team sucked but they were winning the round and then we took the lead also you weren't able to create squads on USMC team while CH team could. And yes Im sure there are far better pilots than I am but that's not the point . And oh I flew with you before torr3nt
I think, is your nick Lead-Torrent in bf2 ? if so then I didT0rr3nt wrote:

Not overly impressed. Yes you can fly, yes you can rocket, but no, you haven't made full use of the chopper for that map.
Your flying is a little TOO erratic, and you and your gunner missed out on a lot of kills because of it.
Still, I'd like to be your gunner at any time. Though the f9 thing may work for noobs, eventually you should be able to walk to machine gun fire into target at a 30 degree angle to you from 300 meters. And if the pilot is more reactive to the gunner you will also end up with more kills.
Still, your tactics worked, well done mate
