Looks like the thai army are well thier way to appointing a civilian PM. They are therefore not holding onto the power which means no militaristic government. Usually a coup is a step backwards but it looks like this will be a step foward

8 months is a long time for living under a corrupt government. Better sooner then later in my opinion.
