What is the difference between 'freedom fighters' and the soldiers sent to another country to 'secure our freedom'? Barring the fact we dub one group terrorists.

Each 'army' has a structured hierarchy, with fighting men and women empowered to kill according to their orders, and the unlimited liability to give thier lives while doing so.

Ok.

The atomic bombs were during a time of war.  And the President at the time made a hard decision...continue to fight the Japanese on their home turf and lose a million more soliders or end it once and for all in a really big flash.  Was it right?  I don't know.  I can see the logic he used.  Was it a tough decision?  Darn right.  The Germans and Brits did the same to each other during WW2. (Not atomic) just bombs on cities.  The difference was the declared war.  The terrorist groups such as Al Q, Hiz, etc....  Are not engaging in a delclared war backed by a recognized government.

The difference between terrorist and soldiers sent to another country apart from tactics (we were never told to take the nearest private, strap a bomb on him, and run him into the local mosque and kill everyone), is that we wear clearly marked uniforms.  We do our best to abide by the Geneva convention.  We try not to harm civillians.

The terrorist groups try to inflict as much damage on the civillian populace as possible, especially if they happen to be Sunni or Shia (depending on which one you believe it).  They were civillian clothes and stay in civillian neighborhoods, threatening those inoocents to hide them (trust me I heard all about it from the Iraqis who finally had enough and came to our base to inform).  They're cowards that bully and murder to further they're radical ideology.

I don't have a problem with Islam (moderates).  I have a problem with Radical Islamofacists that will kill to enter heaven because they believe Allah said so.  No better than the Nazis who killed millions of jews because of an ideology of a superior race.

Time of war. Thats very convenient. Honestly, feel free to enlighten me on the art of 'declaring war' because I was under the impression that if party x attacks party b that is a declaration of war in itself. Also, 'recognized government' really doesn't fly, we fail to recognize most of the people as being anything other than terrorists, let alone recognize their representatives.

4000kg bomb and 4600 kg Atomic devices dropped without consulting Mcarthur is 'trying not to harm civillians' or using tactics? That is no more of a tactic than strapping a bomb to a private and sending him into a mosque. I am very much different than the Muslims offended by the Popes speech.  For one I wipe my ass with toilet paper and not my hand.  Two, I enjoy eating animals with cloven holves because they tend to taste really yummy.  Three, I would never consider fucking some chick that has to cover herself from head to toe before she can go out in public, let alone giving her father chickens and goats to marry the ugly bitch.
