Just curious what everyone thinks about BF2 Vanilla players TK-ing BF2:SF on the vanilla servers for their "special toys?"

Personally, I do not have SF yet.  Read about too many lag issues at this point.  I have not TK'd anyone for their "special toys" and I do not intend to do so.

However, I do find it hilarious that people have figured out that they get to play with the special toys by killing someone with the kit!

Humans can be soooooo resourceful!  I bet EA didn't see this coming!

I'm sure it is no fun for a SF player to keep getting TK'd for their kits.  I wouldn't particularly appreciate it either...but it is interesting what people will do.

Those people need to make friends (that they can trust).

Any SF player can unlock the weapons for a normal BF2 player.

Make no mistake about it - EA put these (mostly enhanced) guns in the game to abuse the normal BF2 players, to basically taunt them into getting the expand. For once in our lifetime, one of their bugs due to their questionable quality control team's ineptitude has worked in our favor, so anyone can get access to the guns.

For those with no friends, TKing I guess can work, though it won't get you any friends, but you don't have any anyways, so it likely doesn't matter.

Here is my 2 cents:

Is it fair game?  Yes. If it is not a hack, I consider it open foder.

Is it fair?  For vanilla players I would have to say yes.  From an SF player's point of view, I would have to say no.

Is it right?  Probably not.  I don't think it was the intention of EA for TK-ing for the kits.  More likely, it was their intention to give SF players an advantage so that people will go buy SF.  However, in this case, it did work out in favor or non-SF players.  It backfired on them.  We'll see how long it takes for EA to fix this "problem" with a patch.

I never encountered such assholes, yet, since my mouse gets fucked up when auto-switching from VB to SF, I only play Sf servers with SF and VB servers with VB, launching the two games separately. Maybe that's why I never encountered such wipe-ass fucktards, but it works.
Anyways, I agree SF gives players an edge over VB. This said, I never TK'd anyone because of that. Actually, the thought never crossed my mind. Some people needs a life SOOOOOOOO much.

How do you know before teamkilling somebody what weapon is carrying ?

Because you can see what weapon they're carrying. My mate told me to "look at his cool gun" that he managed to grab of a dead enemy. I could see that it was the F2000. Didn't kill him for it though, (he was having a bad enough game - one kill, nine deaths.)
If you want those weapons and you're an origonal BF player, just make a point to switch kits with every enemy you kill. If they have a weapon you like, take it, use it, and don't die before you get a chance to do so.
