i claimed my veteran status a week ago and reserved my new nick. i started to think about it, and now im really wondering how the whole program works. when i buy 2142, do i punch in  my nick that i reserved, or do i have do something through the EA downloader...

can someone please help me out...

From the way I understand it, you'll just simply retrieve the account in which you reserved the name for and you're all set.  You'll get a nice little "V" next to your name letting everyone know that you are a BF2 Vet as well as some sort of verbal taunt to use in game too.  Hope this answers your question.

i still dont understand. do you get it under the loggin screen for 2142?

yeah as big willy said you will only have to write your username (that you reserved a week ago) and the password and you get the pointless V that 70% of the players will have + voice taunts that everyone will be able to use and will lead to the fact that a week after the release, you won't ever notice that you were taunted by another player.

I think it will work the same as it works actually with bf2. You will have a login screen with 2 blanks and you will write your new nick that you reserved before.

I think you get it by registering your game when the option comes up because it's linked to your EA account

when you register your name with the veteran program, you have to give it an EA account (thats for downloader, pogo and eveything else EA). This very account and password you will also use to login to BF2142 later. So your reserved nick is tied to that account name, simple
