Personally, the first stat I look at to see if that player is good or not, is their gernade accuracy.maestrium wrote:
It also raises your nade accuracy!
Nades do work against armor. I use them all the time as support, its annoying enough for most armor to clear away, if they cant find you. One nade is more or less 1.5 bars of armor, if you can place it right next to the tyres, its about 2.5 each.
Id say that pretty good, seeing armor only has 20 bars to begin with :p

Nades do damage to armour. They arent rockets or c4's but they DO damage. If you have nothing in your kit except nades to do damage to armour you use the friggin nades.
I got a tank kill yesterday via nade on karkand.
ive blown up a tank with nades except he was already smoking, and on fire lol
If I see a tank on a flag, I'll chuck some nades at him, most of the time he will start to move because he is afraid of a C4 kill. I do not think I am going to kill the tank, I will spot it, nade it, and it buys some time till the calvery shows up.
nades dont do shit to tanks. C4 does!
One time I destroyed an APC with grenades, he was a moron, but I got him. Took at least 15 grenades. : /
I killed one yesterday on Jalalabad. I tossed one, and I guess it was damaged enough to die.
damn rightsLeprechaun56 wrote:
lol especially if you are spec-ops running to plant C4, only to get tked by a nade.
I think this is one of those times the OP woke up on the wrong side of the bed and got annoyed by something that really doesn't matter...
lol owned.KylieTastic wrote:
Er - did you go test yourself? because I did and 20 nades kills both tank/apc (18 in fact)Coolbeano wrote:
....Go test it out yourself, i think at around 20 nades the first bar was split into two.

I tested it once. It's around 35 nades for a tank, and a few less for ACP's. It's almost 50 for commnader assets.
Need to re-test then - tank can be done with 18 thrown under easy and can be done with 16 if right on tracks - and 36 can take out satellite dish (not that you would ever want to!)CrazeD wrote:

it takes about 20 grenades to kill a full health tank. I have several nade tank kills. get one smoking and nade it and it'll die real quick i assure you.Coolbeano wrote:

I don't know how many times I've seen someone chuck grenades at a Tank or an APC. They do null damage. They might, might, say, 50 of them, might, take down an APC... with a couple of bars left. And that's only because the APC is on fire anyway when it has 2 bars.
Anyone I see on my team throwing grenades at a tank is automatically added to my 'don't ride in my car' list, and is a potential for my 'page down' list.
Stop. Throwing. Grenades. At. Armor.
Your tank pulls in to cap a flag. Your gunner bails and runs to the other side of the flag and poof he is magically transported to nadeville...
Now you have to choose. You are alone with no infantry support in hostile territory. In the corner of your right eye there is that progress bar turning from red to blue and you know the grenadier is not close enough to block the cap, but where is he? Is he a squad leader? Did he bother to spot your location to his team? The clock is running down 29, 28 , 27, 26... Does the enemy commander have an arty mission on standby? Is there a car with your name on it falling from the sky? All these thoughts fill your head as you traverse and search for targets frantically calling for UAV. 21, 20, 19..."UAV is already airborne" There damn! two more grenades punching holes in your gear hanging on the bussleracks. Is that smoke coming from the engine grill doors?
Now, do you run or complete the cap? two more grenades ping, pop, thump!! hmm that adds up to five grenades the guy is a support kit or has friends now, stay or go? Can't get out to repair... The clock is running, 15, 14, 13, ... All the time you are split focussed on the nearly 'impotent' grenade attack and capping the flag you failed to notice the Factory fell to enemy raiding forces when you could have prevented it!! Game over and you are drummed out of the tank-whore-corps in disgrace.
Hitting a tank with grenades isn't about a knockout, its about creating noise, chaos and stress to change or slow the decisonmaking cycle of the tank commander and cause a mistake or delay. Maybe to draw attention while an AT, SF or engineer move into position to get an explosives kill. Even to waste a UAV or arty mission. grenade v armor is not always a waste! don't measure action/weapon value by kills alone
it is always nice to chuck a grenade over a wall at a smoking APC and see 3 kills show up

I killed a few tanks with my grenades ..
nades on armor are helpful to kill engineer, squad members spawning and exiting the vehicle, flaming armor ... its gives ur position away but its useful in the right time(5% of a round )
M203 on a roof with a support guy = apc's enemy. end of story.
This thread has now been owned.
if you can destroy APC with humvee in few seconds then most def you can do same with nades
you guys are one crack man i take out apcs with my knife i like to get their weak spot and jump and top and then prone spam stupid 1.4 but any who shooting at tank get em so pissed off man,its almost funny
