I remember the days where you go unlocks @ 1000, 10000, 25000, 50000, 100000, 500000, 1000000. and the ranks were all fucked up.
I remember when I first started. Getting kicked for tks was the norm. Now I don't even try NOT to tk, it usually doesn't happen any more:)
I remember hearing the drums go BLAM BLAM BLAMblamBLAMBLAM! And you see your new rank slide inside the screen while all the action is goin on. That always felt good:)
I remember having no idea about stats, or bf2s.com, or anything like that. I just was feeling out the game, seeing if it was worth my time or was quake 4 worth more of my time. I am now regretting that I'm going to be faced having to go to bf2142 to get a GOOD headstart, or stick with bf2(which is good enough for me to stay), and continue building my rank:)
I might stay bf2, as long as there are a good choice of 64 player/all maps servers to log onto:)
*edit* oh yea, lmao. I remember when I first tried flying helicopters in bf2. I previously read they were hard to control, but I had NO idea, lol. Then I remember I was waiting for the attack heli back in dalian plant, and seeing this newb trying to fly the ignored transport helicopter OVER and OVer again, LoL. He would lift off, do backflips and die in a big crash, lol. Then he'd do it allll over again. So funny. I told him, "Hey newb, lol, I was there man--I was there!"
